I only realized that out during my second playthrough of SM63. On my first, it took forever to find out how to get one of the haunted mansion Shine Sprites.

It's been over a year since I played the game so I wouldn't remember that x3

Also, tutorials. Ew.

I didn't really learn about it until I randomly pressed shift while struggling through one of the haunted mansion levels that required using both the hover and rocket nozzles, as well as an invisibility star. It wasn't until my second playthough that I realized that it's mentioned during the tutorial, so don't feel bad about it. :P

So you requested a video review of this level a long time ago via PM, and I finally got around to playing, editing, and uploading it. I have a pros and cons list below, but be sure to watch the video here: (Click).

Pros:
Graphics: What really makes me love this level is the graphics. This visuals make feel like you’re playing a sky level from an actual video game. As with the previous level of yours I played, you used the foreground grate tiles to great effect (unintentional pun). Everything just looks very Roman, which fits the level very well.
Secrets: I enjoyed finding the hidden 1-ups and warp pipe shortcut. They added a reason to explore the level which seems to be a running theme in your levels. Bravo!

Cons:
Pitfalls: My main gripe with the level in the video was that it had too many pitfalls, but I think I overemphasised it. You are building a sky level, so there’s really no way to avoid bottomless pits, and either way, most of my deaths are my lack of skill at this game now that I stopped playing it as much. However, I think this level could have profited from some sort of checkpoint system.
Last Secret: Minor point here, but I had no idea that there was a final secret to get to the last pillar with the Shine until I read through this thread. I just abused Rocket FLUDD and managed to spin my way over to it. Maybe the last secret was too hidden?

I screwed up and died a lot in my playthrough, but overall, I had a really good time playing this well-crafted level. I’ll give you a 9.5/10.
