Goomboss has laid his eyes upon this forest rich of Goomnut Trees and decided to take all the resource for himself! Noticing this,Mario rushes to the center of the forest to stop Goomboss' plan!

Will Mario reach the center of the forest before Goomboss does and use the Shine Sprite's power to protect the forest? Or will Mario defeat Goomboss in a frantic battle?

If you reach the boss transition pipe within 45 seconds,you can alt to enter a door to skip the entire boss fight,and get the alternate Shine Sprite.

If you don't reach the boss transition pipe within 45 seconds,you have to beat Goomboss in order to collect the Shine Sprite.


This level is really short for my own standards. It's mostly experimental stuffs such as the trees (They have minor cutoff,so some people might go nuts on them) and smooth ramps. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Yeah, you know there was cutoff. As a better solution, you could have replaced the highest two mansion tiles with solid cabin tiles, and also brighten up the crowns with some inner top tiles / invert corner tiles.

The boss is really nice and creative, though it will inevitably cause a death or two while figuring out the battle scheme. A checkpoint before it would be useful.

Level design: 9.5/10
It was really creative. Cool aesthetics with the trees, the teeter bridge floating on the rock, and it was overall just pleasant to run through. It gave me a sort of Sonic vibe. You can get through the level really fast and if you mess up it's not a huge deal, just remember that if you do it flawlessly you'll get through it much quicker. I did kinda wish there was a checkpoint before the boss. Not like, a press down at start one, but I can imagine someone dying at the boss and then being all like "aight, gotta get back." Maybe throw down like, an out-of-bounds platform to the very left of the first cliff or something that has an out-of-bounds pipe or somethin'. There also could've been a few more coins layed out on the ground where there's really nowhere else to go just 'cuz. No complaints after that.
Fun factor: 10/10
As stated previously, I had a ton of fun with this level. The Turbo FLUDD is always fun and needs to be incorporated into more Sonic-like levels.
Effort: 9.5/10
Though I did praise the graphics earlier, if you look reaaaally hard, you can find a bit of cutoff. I notice everything, so I gave you a 9.5 anyway because some people might not be as... observant. Also, checkpoints. The level is long enough to warrant a checkpoint, I would say before the boss is a must as to not make potential die-ers ragequit.
Boss: 10/10
Really, really clever. Most bosses are just "run from this boulder that instantly kills you if you touch it and glitches out every 28 milleseconds, but this one was fair, once again, very Sonic-y, worked well with the level, and used a mechanic not many people use. I like it.

Final Verdict!
9.75 - Near Perfection
While I loved it and it's my personal favorite of '15, I feel like it probably won't be listed in the WITBLO15 because it doesn't have... an edgy storyline that totally doesn't fit in a Mario game. But hey, that's just how the cookie crumbles. This level is really, really good.
EDIT: Oh yeah, more praise. And by really, really good, I mean, everyone play this level because it's freaking awesome. This should totally be in WITBLO15. I hope it does. It totally should. Yeah.

Well I don't think this level will be in WITBLO15 because there are quite many 2015 levels with better executed concepts, better graphics and going the extra mile. This one is a nice portal level but it shouldn't match up for WITBLO15 because it has still much room for improvement, especially graphics-wise.

Good level. But I have some problems with wooden ramps because I couldn't run on it with Turbo FLUDD smoothly. Boss idea is very creative.

Nice work, I like the way you made the scenery carry the platforms. That looked nice, and the Goomboss fight, it was ok. I like the design of the boss though. Not bad, but I'd like to address a few things with this level. For one, I know you were trying to make it a fast paced level, but it would've been better if you can just take your time. But it was cool still. And while the boss fight is alright, adding a tremendous amount of goombas wasn't necessary. You could add one next time. Also you could've added just a little bit more scenery. But overall, great level. I rate 4/5. Good work!
