The level is Mediocre, and not that Difficult. The only 'Hard' part is the Bullet one.
The beginning is a cheap way to make the level slightly more difficult. (Not a problem)
Suggestion, Put the Stars in the actual levels and the Shine at the very end... That would force the player to enter them all, Collect the stars and finish the level.

Edit: Silly me, I forgot to bring up the fact that you have quite a bit of Cut-off.
