However, this level is really too basic and short given by the fact that you've needed less than 10 minutes to create it, and just jumbled things together (with some small flaws like a floating tree). It doesn't show severe errors like cutoff or enemy spam, yet it's nothing special at all. 1.5 --> 2 stars.

But, this is a BASIC tutorial. I was thinking on making an updated video, but for a BASIC tutorial, levels are usually not fancy. I may make a tutorial on more advanced stuff like power-ups, longer levels, and fancier levels like that.

So, don't rate low! I made this level, and the video in March 2013. I found the SM63 Level Designer in February 2012.

Levels are rated on the basis on what is inside of them, whether it's amazingly fun, mediocre platforming or boring, if it's thoroughly beatiful or very generous, if it has the effort of a week or only 10 minutes. You can make tutorial levels and they're accepted on the portal as long as they aren't flooding or spam, but you have to embrace the possibility of getting low ratings simply because that's a small generous level with not much effort. Besides, written guides like our Wiki guide are better suited than videos to show what you can do for a fun / good-looking level and what should be avoided. This doesn't mean that your video would be bad, it means that it's an entry point for a "complete layman" to learn their first steps with the designer and nothing more (yet also nothing less).

And sorry for not being transparent enough with my first statement.
