This level has been sitting in Notepad for...God knows how long. 8 months, I think? I decided to revive it and polish it off, in a desperate attempt to make something creative. I've assigned some challenges to the level, in case you want a few goals to aim for. The whole idea in the first place was for the level to have challenges, and it's something I want to incorporate into my future levels, both SM63 and LL.

Challenges

Easy

• Finish the level and reach the Shine Sprite
• Finish the level with at least 250 coins

Moderate

• Locate the Rocket FLUDD
• Finish the level with at least 300 coins
• Locate the alternative exit
• Finish the level in under 4:00 without using the Rocket FLUDD
• Locate 5 One-Up Mushrooms

Hard

• Finish the level with at least 325 coins
• Finish the level in under 3:35 without using the Rocket FLUDD
• Finish the level without taking damage

For the record, I got 350 coins. That was lovely, so 5 stars. One thing though - why does it have Cave Background and not just simple Secret Course background? With Cave background there should be definitely more dark bricks.

Funny you mention that, originally I had the Secret Course background but I felt the Cave background fit better. I might've made a mistake there :p
Do you reckon I should apply challenges to future levels?

Hi! I recorded myself playing this level on YouTube, so if you'd like to see my first impressions, watch there.

Here is my text review of the level:
I really like this level! I couldn’t find anything much wrong with it. It kept a running graphical theme (I especially liked the use of the grate fencing tiles). It had great and relatively simple platforming (I will acknowledge that I died a few times) so it kept to moderate difficulty with the thwomps and lava, and it helped that it had plenty of coins to replenish health.

I did (despite not recording it) go back and find all the hidden pipes that lead to the bonus areas, which added a little replayability that you don’t see in most levels.

If there’s anything I could criticize, it would be the last platforming section, which is over an bottomless pit is a little unfair, particularly the platform that changes direction, making you think you have to jump earlier.

That’s just nitpicking though. Overall, the level is really good, nearly perfect. 5/5. 10/10. Five stars.

As an aside, I liked the cave background, it gave the level a cool atmosphere. Also, as for keeping with the challenges for future levels, I would say yes, maybe just not as many to keep it simple.
