It's OK. I had a fun time playing it and because of momentum in SM63 I felt like I could zip halfway across the stage in a slit second. However, there are a few problems. The igloo could have easily been in a transition by itself, and just placing a door that could lead to another transition with the igloo in it. Decoration is a little sparse other than some snow trees, and there is a little bit of cutoff, mainly on the snowman.
The Bouncing on penguins idea was very creative, I haven't seen something like that before, but it may have been good to cover up the circling platforms with solid tiles so it won't be immediately obvious to the player that they should avoid the ground, but still will function.
The Turbo Fludd wasn't actually necessary for getting the two coins under the big bully, as Mario can take one hit by diving under, and using invisibility frames to grab the next coin and get out of the ice water. It also might have been a good idea to decrease the flame tower's size to 0.1 so you can't see the flames, but the water will still be "icy."
I don't understand the importance of the ice maze, as there is no shine sprite there and only a about 60 coins.
It's a solid level, (As opposed to a liquid level) but graphics could use some improvement, and the igloo could have been implemented better. Improve on the cutoff and graphic design and put in the igloo and I'd give it 3 stars, but for now as the level seems to lack an area I rate it 2.25/5 :rarrow: 2 Stars

PS: I don't see why people would rate a level lower for it being a remake, when you're using a completely different engine and have to make up for elements, such as the snowman blowing you off the bridge.
Might be ready in a bit.

Sure, it does rule, and it really gets you going back. But it's just not original. Sorry.

10/10, pretty much my own experience, I can tell that transferring a design / gameplay idea as equivalently as possible into a foreign environment is not really less challenging and laborious than creating your own original idea.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.
