In this level, Mario encounters the Olympic Totem, a sort of guardian and trainer of aspiring olympians. However, what started as a friendly competition quickly escalates into a much more serious struggle when skill alone proves insufficient against such a strong opponent.

This is Green Team's (Crystal Clods) first place entrant in the 2015 Runolympics SM63 Contest. While I might've actually made the thing, it was feedback from the rest of the team that resulted in it being done on time, so feel free to check out here if you're interested in seeing the full development process. Added fancy entrance elevator to disguise blocks clipping through the arena due to projectiles arming themselves
Slightly altered sign text to reflect the boss attacks, as well as the modified defeat procedure

late, but this is actually why I didn't gave a full 5 stars:

There was some quite noteworthy lag and loading time from all the blocks, flamethrowers and complex décors. Maybe it would have been possible to rearrange this to an 80x50 level with two transitions. Next, getting away from the start was truly bothersome because this row of small blocks is very fast, and the switch doesn't always teleport correctly if you approach it from the side ...

after getting away, the level shows its true class of course. If it just wasn't for the annoying start and the large loading times, this would be really magnificient.
