A decent start to your series. The platforming was pretty simple but it worked, and there was a decent amount of danger. The Large Squares scattered around, with different methods of getting to them, were a nice touch too.

There were a few issues that caught my eye - in particular, the layering. Before the boss, the bookshelves were placed in front of the knights, meaning I couldn't see them. The landscape also could have been a bit smoother and less blocky in a few places.
I like that you included a final boss, but your choice of arena could have been better. The player can just continuously kick him in the corner without taking damage, and the arena itself looks bland.

Overall, 3/5 stars. A nice start, but it's got a few flaws holding it back.
