After saving Peach and ending Bowser's attempt to destroy the planet,Mario's adventures slowly catch up to him. He begins to have odd dreams of his adventures on a regular basis. At first,they are pleasant. However,they quickly turn into nightmares and difficult trials. One dream,he is in Hazy Mazy Cave,and the next,he is in Shifting Sand Land. One night when he goes to sleep,he sees snow,lava,caves,pipes,water,and grass in the same area. He couldn't understand it. All his memories were mixing together,and this hadn't happened before. The outer limits of space collides with bookshelves from Boo's Mansion and walls from Bowser's Castle. He could see space colliding with the walls and murals and Peach's Castle,and he can vaguely see the mechanisms on the edge of his dream. Then he sees 8 red coins and a shine sprite for the first time in his nightmares. Perhaps if he could just grab it,then he could end his suffering. This is his final challenge: One perilous trial combined with his memories,experiences,and fears that he must conquer to end his nightmares once and for all.
