I said it in the beginning and I'll said it again: this level is great! It has gripping atmosphere, interesting setting, adequate decoration and well designed puzzle. And the well chosen alternate music is just the cherry on top! I really like the use of invisible tiles to create the spectacle that is the floating objects section.

As with any level, I'm still going to critque it for it's flaws in my opinion. The ending is rather abrupt, sure I know everything repeats itself. But the ending sort of leaves me hanging as it raise way more questions than it answers. Through the journey, we know time is an illusion, it's merciless and don't want to be understood. But how does that relate to Mario can't sleep? Why Mario? What caused Mario to be stuck in the time loop? Does Mario feel anything about his situation? Therefore the ending makes me feel somewhat unsatisfied. Aside from that, the level feels a bit short, but all well crafted, which I would prefer than a long, all-over-the-place level.

Since I'm also a 31st LDC entrant, I'm likely biased in my review of the level. How well you've actually fared will be left for the judges. I'll say this isn't a perfect level, but it's still a 5 out of 5 from me.

Dropping an unofficial review.

Gameplay: 6.75/10 This was really an interesting idea you were trying to pull off and you succeeded with it by rudiments, but there was a couple of flaws getting into your way. The first one is choosing your own door out of four without evidence. Next, the maze, some passages were a little bit too narrow, not too much of a letdown but still visible. Then, the little boss sequence - I felt actually a bit tricked when I was tempted to hit the disabling switch and then there were two arrows in opposite directions and I was disoriented. That passage concluded the level already, overall it felt a bit too short and with an obvious lack of classic recipes to make a level interesting.

Graphics: 4.25/5 Good balanced tiling and generally good job at creating a trippy scenery (maybe even a bit too trippy?). However all of the sleeping rooms didn't have sufficiently thick walls - zooming out a bit already and I can look into the void outside. The amount of floating items in the maze section was a bit overboard.

Other: 4.5/5
+1.5 for a really interesting theoretical concept and for capturing the theme in a clever way.
+0.5 for sweet alt music choice.
-0.5 for the signs themselves lacking connectivity.

Total: 15.5/20 It could have been significantly more grand and ultimately it was an innovative concept that just wasn't executed to the full potential it could have been.
