Some bugs/errors/something I wanted to point out: You go behind the sign in the extras part of the starting area. The star in the first level lasts way,
way too long. Piranha Plants aren't supposed to come out of the ground if Mario is standing on where they spawn. I'm not sure if you intended for the player going behind the doors of the castles, but that happens. The fire sticks in level 4 could've been done better. Instead of just having a platform rotate, make the platform rotate, and also make it a 1 platform carousel that rotates at the same speed. Also, a red tint would've been nice too. Here's an example:

For whatever reason, when you beat the boss, you die, and then you respawn back at the castle level. The HUD is a bit small.
Now that bug, glitches, etc. are out of the way, I must say that this level is really ambitious. You attempt to cover an entire 4 levels of the original SMB. It's pretty well done. It's not free from its flaws, but it is still a good level. 4/5
