The lack of sound bugs me I'll admit, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying this game. Every body seems to be complaining about tutorials being required or that the game is too complicated. Here's my question, why are you asking for a tutorial so badly? This is a level editor so experiment! There's already a trigger tutorial last I checked. If for some reason you're disappointed with it because it's too hard to understand, why don't you do both yourself and us a favor; play the game, find out what each trigger does, learn how to use it then make your own tutorial that you and hopefully others can understand. There's only so much we can say you can do with triggers because the possibilities are literally endless. Many of these are millions of variations that do the same thing admittedly. That doesn't mean you can't use one of said variations though. Triggers may not be simple. I'm am definitely not claiming to be a master. However something you can do to learn about them is play other levels with triggers, open them up in the level editor and look at those triggers yourself. Go to the Beta Levels if you want. Whether any of us intend to do this or not, we've given you guys at
least a few examples of what you can do with triggers. By doing so we also left them there for you to look at, and if need be copy and paste into your own levels. Seriously guys, if all else fails you can steal a trigger or two. As original as a trigger script may be if you use it in a level you publish that allows people that have played that level to copy, paste and modify that to their needs. Unlike flat out stealing levels there's no real shame in stealing triggers. At least I don't think there is.
Edit: So I decided to review some of the old responses and quote some more notable mentions (in my eyes anyways)

Republic wrote:Why people don't like it? Because,
1) People is making SM63 games
2) LL is more complicated than SM63
3) LL levels require much more time to make
4) LL isn't very famous yet
5) LL isn't complete
(6) SM63 is more fun in my point of view)
Star king wrote:...I tried Last Legacy. I have to tell, this game is pretty awesome. But a bit too complicated. I don't understand how to use a switch. But like Azn said, I can easily make a level without touching the... erm... uh... well, the... the! The triggers. there found it.
Master1.0 wrote:I personally prefer to use SM63. The controls are easy, the designer is also easy to use, and the glitches we found make a major impact to the gameplay. (i.e. Blue Brick ID: 3d; change 3d to 13/`` for glass tile, 3c for disabled blue brick, 12 for solid grid tile)
Last Legacy is a bit to complicated for me. All these new functions make me feel like this:
63 however is user friendly.
Aznchau4ever wrote:So what I'm getting from most of this thread, basically people are saying it's "too complicated" and that there isn't enough things. Well guys, this is the Beta version. There isn't going to be many things, and it's not finished yet.
The level designer is based on SM63. You really can make levels exactly like SM63 without even touching the triggers. You don't have to do ANYTHING with triggers if you truly do not want to. Just an attempt to make a level would be great. The more people that participate in the beta, the better the final product will be, and isn't that what we all want?

This isn't even in proper Order. Some of these posts came
after Azn's post.

The best way to learn is to study the two beta levels Runouw made and other levels with effects not included in the beta levels. find something in the levels that you want to learn how to do, and open up the control boxes for the corresponding triggers. Study what the creator of the level did to produce the effect, for a while. Then instead of redoing exactly what they did, create your own version from what you've learned.

Because if you do that, people will just say, "This is the exact same as SM63." And honestly, I could argue that Last Legacy is exactly that. If you don't know anything about triggers, nor do you want to, fine. You honestly don't have to mess with any of it. It runs the exact same way as SM63, but for those who want to get more in-depth, they can.
I'm not even going to quote GMDragon11 complaining this thing is too complicated as I've already quoted that enough as well as the counter argument.
Master1.0 wrote:As much as I think the graphics will look much better in the next update, I just can't seem to get used to the new layout no matter what. I just wish there was an easier way to do all the cool tricks without it being so damn complicated.
To some degree he's right but it doesn't need to be super complex to be "cool."
I've run out of posts I find worth mentioning. I've made a few points in page 3 I believe. I don't feel like quoting myself though. So far the majority complaint is the fact the game isn't complete (sound effect, sprites, other content) and "it's too complicated." The former is understandable to some degree, but if we don't Beta Test who will? As for the latter, people are generally too vague with that line. In terms of tile placement the game is pretty simple as it morphs itself. As such if you're complaining about that your argument is moot. The background is almost entirely the same as foreground with the exception that you can't interact with it. Item placement is simple. The only complicated thing about this game are item variables. This applies to the box to change tile color, box triggers, switch triggers, and platforms. That's all that's complicated. I've probably already said too much in one post so I'll stop here.
