Your levels will always be appreciated. But if you're not having fun doing this or if it stresses you out, perhaps it might be best to stop, or give yourself a break, for your own sake. We'll understand.

Why, am I, still, HERE? I thought I asked to be taken off, but now Rook got introduced and I was just bumped down to Rook? Are the minitiers going to need to go through all of chess and all of a poker and all of the major arcana before I finally get knocked off this thing? I made one good level. I made one good level and yet I still hold enough notoriety to have a place on the minitiers? How? How? Has nobody else come in to take my spot or something?

Okay, my reaction is a bit exaggerated, but I still find it odd I'm still anywhere on this list given the one time I made a great level was the one time and was also a collab. I don't really mind, as my interest in level designing has fallen in general. I'm not very motivated to care about my place here as I'm not very motivated to do level designing in general.

The one other time I can think of when I made an especially good level was Aerial Adventure, and that was for LL during the mini-LDC Raz hosted. I set out to be level 1-1, as a result it was about 2-3 minutes or less and within the play time I allotted, make it as good as possible. All evidence suggests I managed to succeed, despite my own personal critique of the level. I still feel like I could've done more with it, but what I made is acceptable.

I'm with Nan about taking a break. Probably the main reason I quit doing Level Designing is because I quit enjoying it. The other is probably a lack of motivation to keep making levels, but that may stem from not enjoying it as much as I used to.

Not to try and make things worse or anything but I have no objections to being removed from the list.

It's nothing major, really - I just love using LL much more than SM63 and I find it so challenging to make even the simplest SM63 level, since I'm so comfortable with LL's mechanics.. While I'm not stopping entirely, I doubt I'll ever move up on this list, so my spot is probably more deserving of another designer.

damn I wish we had an LL counterpart to this list...

I can safely say, speaking for BY, Runouw, lulzaraptor and the rest of the Staff team, that there won't be ANY kind of Tier List in the LL site.

Just saying, if you guys are wanting to do something like that here then go on. But I'm pretty sure that Runouw wishes the exact opposite of what is happening right here for LL, and I'm definitely with him.

But Xero has a point, some of the minitiers haven't been updated for ages, and it's quite confusing seeing someone with a 2-year hiatus in "Next Big Things".

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

Um, the Staff Team is not limited to only these guys. There are a lot of people working in the background of the game, plus Yuri that is also a part of the Team.

staff team = admins + glomods + lemods

dev team = the people creating and testing the game

IMO, almost everyone below me does better work than I do.

My levels can't ever reach Supershroom's level of graphics.
My levels can't ever reach Jumbo101's level of innovation.
My levels can't ever reach Raiyuuni's level of fun.
