Well, in order to hear everyone's views on this I have set up a poll now. You have 3 days to get in your votes so please do so.

if I'm being honest I think Amp should take #1. In no way is this a bag on me. I'm confident enough in myself and my decent performance this year to take #2 without reservations. It's not a self-consciousness thing. But I think that if you look at it side-to-side, technically Amp is performing with more success than I am in LDCs, and has been more active, and due to my sickness she'll probably be more active. She was second to me in the 29th LDC (I think?), placed top 4 in the Runolympics, and beat Veso and I in the 30th with a really ♥♥♥♥♥' level. I'm definitely down to challenge the lead when I get the chance to, but as it stands I'd say Amp has earned it just enough moreso to take the top.

Believe it or not, everyone below me on the Tier List is better than me, to different extents.

I shouldn't even be in Silver Tier, let alone the entire list.

You don't see me performing well in LDC's, the only thing I got was a lucky 4th place in the 27th(?) or something.

One thing about the minitiers that makes me hesitant is that they're super way out of date and I'd imagine they'd be a royal pain to continuously update. Maybe yearly awards? Idk

Stop it, please. I may respect you having a way too pessimistic opinion about yourself, but constantly carrying out this self-hatred and masochistic attitude becomes annoying actually.

As for who should take number 1, I'm actually not that sure after I read MoD's post, from this side things look different, and yet not convincing enough for me. I have a crazy idea: Maybe have a quick duel with each other, if none of you enters the LL LDC and MoD is up for it despite her situation? That would be more effective than a plain poll or something.

No. What I meant is people who ranked below me are REALLY better than I am.

(Sure that's my own subjective view and I shouldn't change Amp's subjective view but)


Seriously, it's like crediting me for more than I worth. Granted I'm a pretty OK Level Designer, but I have no right to be above the likes of, say, Ayrayen, whose 24th LDC entry amazed everyone so much. And, Jumbo101, who kept bringing innovative impacts to the LDing scene, like the platform-based health bar.

Then again, you may say activity counts as well because a lot of famed LDers dropped down the top of the tiers because they're inactive, but what really count (imo) are their works, which are eternal as long as this site lives on.

Whatever works for the tier list. I wish we could include rankings for both activity to allow new designers to shine and past works for the inactive people to still remain on there.

If the tier list was based on my opinion of designers' skills, I wouldn't even be on there, let alone up so high. So yeah. This list is not called the "order of self esteem". If anything, the reason some of you took a huge jump was more to do with the fact that I just wanted to push down some of the oldies, after all this list is supposed to be about the current scene. And there are still some people like Buff and Four and Murph who are probably way too high up really, but I also had to be realistic and realise I couldn't move everyone up into the gold tier overnight.

That's not to say that if any oldies made a comeback, they wouldn't be higher on the list again.
