Actually it makes sense. If you feel a level deserved a 1 star, but don't have any comment/criticism to make, then just don't post.
Carelessly giving out 1 stars without thinking that the level truly deserved it is another matter.
Not every level has to be given a 1 star without posting.

Well, I've recently seen again a few comments that don't really accord with these rules. Since we have now a shadow link in the Rules forum, I'd like to remember to people that these are official, and to the staff that these should be enforced, especially the first three ones.

As far as I'm aware, those first three rules are already being followed. People have a right to give a star rating, we know that. People are critical about levels that need critique, but not in a disrespectful or angering way. And if people have reacted immaturely to negative reviews, then I've not seen an example of it.
And if there is any flaming, rule breaking and disrespectful comments on the portal, the report button should always be used.

Verbal thumbs up to amp, etc. There really hasn't been any rule-breaking. I've been watching the Portal and I've actually been loving the wave of constructive criticism and helpful feedback people have been giving lately, along with an overwhelmingly positive response to that from the level designers themselves. The only significant thing that could be interpreted as rule-breaking that I've noticed is double posting, but that can be solved with a simple report, and it's hardly anything major anyway.

It's been REALLY clean. However, do comments like these count for anything?

It's just too vague to me, but it's at least positive feedback.

I kinda wanted to make the officialness of this clear for some time without a concrete inducement, and that post was a slight one ... nothing too dramatic though. I've also noticed here and then that some posts just repeat what has already been said by someone else above. I know we have high-quality commentating in general, I also try contributing to that myself, don't I?

Or the guy that posted was more than likely thinking the same thing the one above him was thinking. People can agree with one thing and express that themselves can't they? That's not wrong is it?

Is that a
wink wink nudge nudge kind of thing? I'm confused. Are you trying to prove something here?

To anyone reading this, I am sorry for acting so rude with my reviews back then. I know this is a bit late, but I only hope that I didn't mean to hurt anybody.
I was acting pretty inconsiderate on my early days of this site. I just needed to get it out there. Again I am sorry for the cruel reviews I made.
