Quick update on my challenge: It has been accepted!
On Sunday, April 12th Konradix and myself will fight a heated battle of one-hour franticness. Only one shall rise the victor.
The theme we decided upon for this little duel? "Bowser in the ______". We will both be making an original level inspired by the structure of the SM64 levels that preceded the bowser fights and followed the same naming format (and not a simple remake of them).
So on that note we will need judges. If you want to judge in this duel shoot me and Konradix a PM.
I wish both him and myself luck come Sunday and may the designer-who-can-manage-to-make-something-amazing-within-an-hour win.
Edit: Some circumstances in my life literally intervened a few hours after writing this post. A new date will have to be discussed.

Willing to start the music duels! I did update things a little.
I would start every duel by having both contestants decide on one of four music choices. I would give hints as to which one each music track was but you'd only know once you started the duel. One would be a song with lyrics, one a movie score or other storytelling media score, one an instrumental song (dance/techno, post-rock, other types of instrumental music), and one a video game music. The trickier the song is, the more time I'd give you. I will describe the songs in relative detail (genre, atmosphere, where you could know it from) but will not tell you. After you pick the song, you stick with it.
Howzat sound?

That sounds pretty cool, actually. I almost kind of want to do that now.

I'm undecided. It'll either be a very hinted at surprise that you have to adapt to or I'll give you the four tracks.

Have a theme in mind?
I realize all my songs I was gonna post are kind of fire/canyon/desert/wasteland themed.
