For our inaugural duel I have four songs with four different themes that I've always wanted to see used in levels but never knew how to incorporate.

Pop Song: Firestarter by Prodigy

Twisted, energetic, spiteful, villainous, and above all fiery, this is a great song to let the world burn to, with a self evident story to inspire any writing.

Video Game Song: Disco Train from Donkey Kong Country 2

The coolest ♥♥♥♥ in any room, this song should inspire a crisp adventure on a chill night. Circus not mandatory.

Instrumental Masterpiece Promise by Thomas Bergersen

The adventure of a lifetime is closer than you think. This is good for anything if you can give it the right oomph.

Film Score: The Way He Looks At Me by Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross (Gone Girl)

The coldest, most unnerving scoremakers in Hollywood bust out another borderline mechanical piece of musical heartbeat.

Test out the songs, both agree on one, then get to it. I'll let you decide deadlines and what have y'all.

I'm totally down with Disco Train or the Film score.

about the deadline, since we both wanna be in the 3rd LLLDC (yup, me too), maybe let it be a 2 month thing that also comprises the 30th LDC

EDIT: Disco Train would be cool to make a DKC-styled level, but Promise really caught me and I could dream about making a super relaxing level a la Water Butterfly to it. I'd pick that one, but if you disapprove of it, we can also go with Disco Train.

Oh, I like promise too, but tbh it's a little inflexible when making a level to it. Not a whole lot comes to mind.
