"Peach, we're moving to Toad Town, and that's final."
"Mom, at least give me some support!"
"No, honey, both me and your dad have gotten a job transfer and we have to go there."
"Can't I stay here with Grandma?"
"No! She has her own big job to attend to!"
"Ugh, why couldn't you just have kept your job here?"
"Because! We're almost broke, and there, we'll have a higher pay!"
"But Dad-"
"Get your bags, we're leaving."
"This is the worst day of my life!"
"PEACH! YOU GET BACK IN HERE, RIGHT NOW!"
"Okay, fine! I'll go! But If I don't like it, we're moving back."
"Why would we do that? We have jobs, which get money, which feeds you. Otherwise, you'd starve."
"Whatever..."
~The Next Day~
"I don't understand. I don't get this. What is this place supposed to be."
"Peach, this is our new house."
"That doesn't mean it's our new home."
"Just get out to the bus, Peach. Do you really want to be late on the first day of school?"
"I don't want to be there at all."
"Well, you have to go, so get over it and get out there."
"Kay, sheesh.."
"Welcome home, honey! How was school?"
"Better than I expected..."
"Oh yeah? Tell me more."
"I don't feel like it..."
"Oh, come on! Tell me something that happened!"
"Well, just like a normal day at Shroom Elementary, except now I'm in middle school, of course..."
"Great! So did you make new friends?"
"Some... Can you just leave me alone for a while?"
"Sure, but before you get settled in, we're scheduled for a tour of the Mushroom Castle at 4:30! So, be ready by then."
"Great, Mom..."
~3 Years Later~
"Yes, just go down to the classroom."
"What if I interrupt the class..."
"It's fine, they're having Study Hall right now. You can just take Peach out into the hall."
"Okay, thanks."
"Oh, hello. And who might you be?"
"I am Toadsworth, and I come with news. You better be Peach."
"Yes, I am Peach."
"Good. Now we must go out into the hallway..."
"Okay."
"Peach, you are the heir to the throne of the Mushroom Kingdom."
"WHAT!?"
"Yes, you are."
"So then my parents are royalty, too-"
"What do you mean? Your parents died years ago."
"So.. Y-You mean.. I was ADOPTED?"
"You were adopted."
"B-But how'd I end up way out in Shroom Village, then?"
"Ah... You are too young to be capable of handling this information."
"I'm 14!"
"Yes, but... If you knew now..."
"If I knew know what?"
"Just.. You wouldn't understand. You aren't able to handle it."
"Just tell me!"
"Fine. But it's a long story..."

Chapter 1 - The Clock Strikes Twelve: show
It was New Years Eve, in the Mushroom Kingdom. Everyone from Toad Town, and certain selected people from Mushroom City, were at Mushroom Castle. Everyone was watching the great grandfather clock against the back wall, just behind Peach's throne. The enormous pendulum swung back and forth, tick, tock, tick, tock.
In just a matter of minutes, the new year would begin.
The Toads chattered among themselves, various Koopas and such talked also. Mario and Peach kept quiet while Luigi snoozed in the corner.
All was calm until Yoshi burst in. He ran, panting, to the front. He couldn't speak, but he had a secret: Yoshi had the ability to read and write.
He had a note all ready to give to Peach, Toadsworth, Mario, and Luigi, but he didn't get there in time.
The clock bonged, boomed, twelve times the clock sounded. Everybody took their attention off Yoshi and onto the fact that a new year had begun.
Now, Yoshi's path was blocked. He couldn't make it to them. He was too late.
Then, everyone was again silenced by the shaking of the ground and air.
~Just Minutes Before~
Bowser, King of the Koopas, had his own ideas about a new year. He had always believed that a new year meant a fresh start on whatever you did, whether it was good, evil, insane, boring, exciting, risky, anything.
Bowser really took this seriously. He did something big every New Year's. Usually it was just a party or some sort of completely new, original scheme for capturing Peach and keeping out Mario, or maybe a brand new weapon; but this year, he was taking all three of these into action simultaneously.
The Doomship 2.0 was almost ready for takeoff, loaded with Bowser's two new, mint-condition Quad Banzai Bill Launchers, each equipped with 20 of the missiles, one on each side of the ship. He also had that old UFO he used back in Super Mario Galaxy, with the extreme strength and the chain-stake-things, alongside the airship. It just needed one more thing:
Bowser, his son, and Kamek boarded the Doomship 2.0. Everyone else was on it already, so they could go straight from Bowser's Castle to Mushroom Castle.
~Back at Mushroom Castle~
The gleaming, silver vessel shot its weapons into the ground. It pulled upwards, so that the castle and a small area around it were ripped straight out of the planet. This made it impossible for any escapists to leave the building.
Yoshi stopped dead in his tracks. The thing was already at the castle. Peach fled up to her room and went out to the balcony, while Mario checked out the front door.
Just as Mario opened the door, the entire Mushroom Kingdom found itself in blackness. Nobody had planned it.
Then, soothing voices were heard. Many of them, Rosalina, Timpani, Toadette, Chakron and others.
No one knew what was happening, until color and light were restored. Everything was the same as before.
"It was a mysterious wave of unconsciousness, maybe," Toadsworth guessed. Others had different theories, but this one remained the top one.
The Doomship 2.0 had fallen to the ground, and the UFO had fallen onto the roof of the castle. The chains had snapped, but the castle grounds remained an island in a sea of land. In other words, there was a large gap between the castle and outer grounds.
The castle was higher than the outer area, as large chunks of soil had fallen and provided a pile for the castle, while all the while making the island smaller. Mario had fallen into the gap, and he couldn't get out.
This would have provided an excellent opportunity for Bowser to kidnap Peach, had he not been buried in the rubble of the Doomship, which had exploded when it fell to the ground because of the Banzai Bills.
Peach hadn't noticed Mario go out, nor the fact that the clock in the throne room had toppled over. She thought that the slam of the door and the crash of the clock were just the two aircrafts she had seen just before the darkness overcame the Kingdom falling to the ground.
Of course, she was right, but wrong. All three things had happened.
Peach ran back downstairs. She immediately noted that: 1. The ginormous clock had fallen over and knocked down her chair, and lied upon it; 2. Her guests had rushed to the other side of the room; and 3. Mario was nowhere to be seen.
Then she fainted.

Chapter 2 - Flashback: Part 3: show
NOTE: I know that I skipped Flashback: Part 2, and that's going to be like a prequel to this, coming up soon, kind of. :3
"This view is AMAZING! It's like I can see the whole kingdom from here!"
"That's what happens when you ride in a hot air balloon..."
"Well, I've never been in one, so don't judge me."
"Princess Peach. I'd expect you to be a bit nicer than THAT."
"...Great..."
"Now, you see that over there? That dark area off in the distance?"
"Yes."
"That's Bowser's Castle. It's on the opposite side of the Mushroom Kingdom as us. Don't try to go that way, ever, though."
"Okay..."
"Now, both castles are on opposite sides, right?"
"Yeah."
"Well, believe it or not, but neither one is even close to an edge. We're very close to the center of the kingdom, so is Bowser. The distance between the two castles is vast, but the distance from either castle to the edge of the kingdom is much larger, up to 20 times as much. Now, the reason why I said 'up to 20 times' is because the edges are constantly shifting and moving. Now, it still takes a very long time for them to move, but they can. Very soon, we believe, there will be a quake that will forever shrink the kingdom's edges. The Mushroom Castle is in the northern part of the kingdom, Bowser's is in the southern part. To the east is the Flower Ocean, as you know. Your sister, Daisy, owns a luxury cruise ship, and every year, she sets sail with many residents of the Mushroom Kingdom. It was her parents, not her biological parents, though, that gave her the ship. We don't know exactly how the two of you got separated, but it's clear that you did. To the west is the Donkey Kong Jungle; farther west is the Gritzy Desert. To the far south is Mt Goomba, an extremely active volcano, and to the far north is the Shy Guy Tundra. Below it all, we have the great Hazy Maze Cave. That spans the entire kingdom, and it's all underground. The only known entrances are: 1. Some sort of tunnel under a certain tree in the DK Jungle; 2. An artificial entrance through the basement of Bowser's Castle; and 3. The most dangerous route by far, a certain area in the Flower Ocean called Boo's Triangle, it is said that the King Boo haunts this area, and when you cross the center of the triangle, a whirlpool forms under you and you are sucked under, into a hole that goes straight into the toxic part of the Cave."
"Wow, Toadbert, you talk a lot."
"Yes. Yes I do. But I'm not finished. Now, in the center of the kingdom is Mushroom City. It is the third biggest area in the Mushroom Kingdom, next to the Flower Ocean, in second place, and Hazy Maze Cave, in first. Now, back to the quake. It is theorized that the supervolcano under the Gritzy Desert, sometimes called the Magma Lair, but officially known as Grumble Volcano, is going to erupt soon. It is very powerful, and it will shake up the whole kingdom. Much of the edges of the kingdom will crumble, even part of the volcano itself, and then we will be an island in the middle of nowhere. The next eruption is going to be soon after that, and it will make the kingdom even smaller. We're probably going to have to team up with Bowser and resort to another kingdom, but we first must wait and see if the quake will ever happen."
"This is gonna give me nightmares..."
"Now, do you see the water over there?"
"Yes."
"That's Flower Ocean. If you look closely, you'll see Daisy's cruise ship. Now, if you look farther out, you'll see whiteness. Do you see it?"
"Yeah. It's creepy..."
"That's the eastern edge of the kingdom. Don't worry, Daisy doesn't even go NEAR it, or Boo's Triangle, but if you have a good eye like me, and you look even FARTHER out there, you'll see a clump of something."
"I see it."
"That's another kingdom. We don't know exactly which one it is, but we know it is one. We're going to go that way if the quake ever happens. Remember that, now, because if the quake does happen, we're depending on you to know where to go."
"Shouldn't that be your job?"
"My job? Oh, no no no. I'm actually using this balloon to go out there and study it. I probably won't be here when the quake happens, if it does."
"Okay..."
"Now, let's get you back home and tell your parents that you're moving in to the Mushroom Castle, and then I'll be heading back out."

"It must be the Quake... What will become of us?" Toadsworth pondered.
"Well, we gotta get out of here, that's for sure," others replied.
"And to where, might I ask?" said still others.
Luigi suddenly started screaming, "Peach! Peachpeachpeachpeachpeach-"
"What, Luigi," questioned Peach.
"PPPEEEEAAACCCHHHHH"
"Okay, seriously! What!?"
"PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH"
"What do you want, Luigi! Just tell me!"
"PPPPEEAAACCCHHH-"
Then, what you probably thought would happen happened. Peach grabbed Luigi and pinned him to the floor. "WHAT DO YOU WANT, LUIGI!? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL ME!?"
Response: "PEACH-"
"..."
"PEACH. THE QUAKE. THAT... PLACE."
"Oh. That. But how to get there..? And what about Mario?"
"Well," Luigi said, "We could team up with Bowser and use one of his... Things."
"Yes, yes, but how do we even get out?" Peach asked.
"There's always..."
"No.. Don't tell me you want us to take the roof to get over that chasm!"
"Yep. You got me. You read my mind."
"But at midnight..."
"We could always go into the courtyard, ask the Boos if they have a flashlight."
"THEY'RE STILL IN THERE!? I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO GET RID OF THEM 10 YEARS AGO! No, no, FIFTEEN YEARS!!"

- A giant clock just fell over and got smashed to pieces.
- Everyone is pressed up against the door; It's practically impossible for anyone to get in or out, as the door opens inwards.
- There's a huge gap between the castle and the outside world.
- Mario's gone.
"It must be the Quake... What will become of us?" Toadsworth pondered.
"Well, we gotta get out of here, that's for sure," others replied.
"And to where, might I ask?" said still others.
Luigi suddenly started screaming, "Peach! Peachpeachpeachpeachpeach-"
"What, Luigi," questioned Peach.
"PPPEEEEAAACCCHHHHH"
"Okay, seriously! What!?"
"PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH"
"What do you want, Luigi! Just tell me!"
"PPPPEEAAACCCHHH-"
Then, what you probably thought would happen happened. Peach grabbed Luigi and pinned him to the floor. "WHAT DO YOU WANT, LUIGI!? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL ME!?"
Response: "PEACH-"
"..."
"PEACH. THE QUAKE. THAT... PLACE."
"Oh. That. But how to get there..? And what about Mario?"
