Sheer 'Vadamee had landed on the planet the humans called 'Earth'. his mission was to find the Jiralhanae Cheiftain and kill him, and if ppossible, capture Truth. He looked around the rocky and grassy jungle as he walked. He had three other Sangheili with him. Raal, who was able to get out of almost any situation; Jhar, who was always itching for a fight with any enemy; and last was Vaar, who was known for sensing a trap, and was almost as brutal as Sheer was. Sheer sniffed the air and stopped.
"Unggoy," he mumbled, and the four of the turned the corner. Sheer stopped. He held up two fingers, and the four of them engaged their camouflage.
Even if the Unggoy woke up, they wouldn't see the Sangheili.
They walked quietly behind the sleeping Unggoy, and stopped a few feet behind the aliens.
"Pitiful," Raal whispered quietly. "Shipmaster, allow me to take care of them."
Sheer thought about it and nodded.
About a second later, Raal kicked a pebble on the ground in front of him into the middle of the sleeping Unggoy, and they all got up and ran when the rock landed. Raal threw a plasma grenade, and it stuck to one of the littla aliens' backs. The grenade went off with a bang, and the Unggoy flew in different directions.
"Nice work," said Sheer.
"We should hurry, shipmaster" said Jhar,"the patrol should be back soon."
Sheer nodded. "Forward," he said. They kept moving down until they came to an open area with a few trees and rocks.
"It's a trap," said Vaar, "we should hide, shipmaster." Sheer agreed.
"Disengage camouflage," he said, and the others followed after he did.
And sure enough, Vaar was right. A pack of Jiralhanae came down the path. Sheer hoped they hadn't been spotted yet, and he noticed one of them had golden armor. Jhar looked at Sheer, as did Raal and Vaar. He shook his head: not yet. And they faced forward. Sheer peeked out from behind the rock he was hiding behind.
"Wait," said the Jiralhanae pack leader. It sniffed the air, the unslung the bruteshot from it's back. The other Jiralhanae raised their spikers, waiting for the enemy.
"Now!" shouted Sheer, and fired his carbine at them. The other Sangheili fired as well.
He heard one of the Jiralhanae shout, "Sangheili ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!" as it ran for cover behind a tree. Shots exploded around Sheer as he fired his carbine while trying not to get hit with hot spikes. Saal shot one Jiralhanae with his needler, and they exploded, spraying chunks of flesh in the air as the beast hit the ground. Vaar fired his plasma rifle at one of the others, and it fell with a roar, smoking from the burns. After the other Jiralhanae were dead, the pack leader ran like a golden blur, roaring as it zoomed toward the Sangheili. Sheer released his plama sword and waited. he stabbed the beast in the chest, and it hit Saal with it's fore arm, and Saal hit the boulder behind him. The pack leader limped away, then continued to shoot at them from a distance. They dove for cover from the shots, and proceeded to shoot at the Kig-Yar and Unggoy as they came toward them. Finally, they cornered the pack leader, and the four of them surrounded him. It punched Vaar in the face and rammed him into a tree. Then it hit Vaar with its fists repeatedly. Vaar released his sword into the beasts gut, then pushed it back and sliced off it's head with a strike. He put his sword away, and stepped over the body.
"Let's go," said Sheer, and the group moved into the Jungle. Now, Sheer thought, to find the Cheiftain and that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Truth.
