So Cheita taught Condetah how to play Speed, and then they played a few rounds. They soon had to go home.
“I’ll see you tomorrow…”Said Condetah,”oh, I almost forgot to ask. What is your name?”
“It’s Cheita, and I don’t have anything else to do tomorrow, so I guess I’ll see you then.”
"By the way, my name is Condetah."
Both of them went to their houses. When Cheita got home, she wrote in her thought journal:
today was okay, one of my better days since my brothers and sisters died, which was a few months ago. Well, I got something to do tomorrow instead of my normal wallowing and sitting…
who knows, i might even have some fun. I actually don't dread tomorrow, which is rare.
Condetah, when he got home, he thought:
I found a new friend today, one who can help teach me as much as I can help teach them. I've always been a happy, stress-free kid, young and playful, parents not expecting too much of me, living a nice life, but I always wondered what can cause people to seclude themselves and recede from their social life.
