My latest story, and one of my personal favorites. A girl bound in silence finds the words to say to her prospective girlfriend as they visit her religious father in a dusty town on the edge of Kansas, where the crows' migration south brings forth anchored memories, the path to resolution, and a new start.

Very short chapter 2 released, I just wanted to put the plot of it out. There will be updates of it, but just not now.

And to those who care, I'm already working on chapter 3 so it should come much quicker.

One note- I popularized the name Sam! Ever since TRC, we've had Sam Eastman, Police Officer Extraordinaire, Sam Wexler, also Police Officer Extrordinare, This Sam, and a future Sam in Avo's upcoming story!

All in all, a bit above average, but I'm still waiting on better work. 7/10

Actually, not exactly true. I once attempted to start The Cycle before the forums even existed and ultimately scrapped it, but the character of Sam Wexler was part of that original. So Sam Wexler actually existed before Sam Eastman, and it's merely coincidence that you selected the same name for your story. But wuteva. Oh, and I'm thinkin' about gettin' Chapter 6 going again in the not too distant future…


On topic, this is good…it occurs to me that you had way too many unnecessary section breaks in the first chapter, but that's of the past…this chapter is good but the story overall needs to get going; also, you could be a little more descriptive and watch for grammar. Overall, not bad though.

I like the storyline quite a lot. The writing is also fairly good, but the flow is terrible. It's very choppy; I feel like the different parts of the chapter don't blend into each other well at all. But the rest is good…work on that for the next chapter. Awaiting the next chapter eagerly. :awe:
