Oh hey, it's another dang forum story. So obviously you should be expecting to see random users from this forum show up right? Don't apply, we'll pick you. If you want to apply, be prepared to watch your character die, go insane, kill another user or a combination of the above. I'm might not write this in chronological order. So if you starting seeing random variable chapters, that's why.

Into the Murk
[chp1]

There exists a split world. At one point in time, these two worlds were one. However, a decision was made to separate the darker parts of it from the rest of society. In accomplish this, they set up large, metallic archways to both separate the two worlds, and the act as a bridge between them. These became known as the Dimension Bridges. These bridges seem indestructible nowadays, but breaking one require a coordinated attack from Xenith, the light half, and Carishma, the dark half. Nowadays people refer to Xenith by the name Mother Earth, while Carishma gets called a plethora of names, the most popular being Hell, Limbo and Myriad Agony.

Ever since Xenith and Carishma were split apart, Carishma was used as a land where criminals were banished to by choice judges in Xenith. Few people ever left Carishma. Some that did didn't leave alive. While Xenith flourished, Carishma suffered, with every day being a constant struggle for survival. Very few nations ever formed in Carishma. Not only that, but monsters of great power existed in Carishma. If the people of Carishma didn't kill each other, the monsters would. Life in Carishma became the capital punishment worldwide.

Dimension: Mother Earth
Nation: Runouw
Population: 72176
Date: January 17, 2024
Location: Demonik's Tavern

After a 6-year dry period, interest in Demonik's Tavern had been revived; the place was packed, impossible foodstuff were being served again, and many made noise at the music selection for one reason or another. NanTheDark decided to burst onto the scene screaming something in Spanish. Very few people even had a clue what he was talking about. Meanwhile, people were busy destroying the public toilets while also figuring out how to not write something for the Library but still act like they were anyways.

Nan went over to the DJ booth to talk to JSlayerXero. Xero was a regular at the DJ booth, playing whatever came to mind. Somehow he managed to find a way to make vinyl records out of everything to play on the turntable. Today he was playing an old song by Stephen Walking.

Nan was wearing his usual attire: jeans, a green shirt with a yellow star on it, fingerless black gloves, and lots of hair gel. His black hair was spiked to the left of his head, yet from most angles his hair looked like it spiked to the left. It was only from a few angles that his hair looked like it went to the right. His jet black eyes sometimes felt like they went into a void. Some people felt like they would fall into a bottomless pit if they stared at his eyes for too long. Although, those people were few and far between. On most days though, his eyes felt like they were defying logic and shining.

Xero was a different sight. His usual getup was a black shirt, black cargo pants, and a trench coat that was modified to have many pockets. Although Xero's skin was black, nobody really knew that since it glowed cyan. His eyes glowed a much brighter cyan than the rest of his body. This made it practically impossible to tell which direction he was looking in. His hair also glowed cyan, weaker than his eyes but stronger than his skin.

"Hey, Xero, what's up?" Said Nan, with a bit of joy in his voice.

"The ceiling, the sky, your hair." Said Xero, looking at Nan's spiky hair. His voice was as monotonous as ever.

"Very funny, Xero." Nan scowled, unamused.

"Today is gonna suck...".

"And why would that be?" Said Nan, aware that Xero said this often.

"They're coming..." Xero looked down and stared off into the distance as he said this. Xero had a bad habit of being really cryptic. When he wasn't trying to be cryptic, it was often unclear what he meant since clarity wasn't one of his strong points.

"Who are coming?" Nan asked this with a bit of concern.

Xero closed his eyes for a few seconds. When he opened them again he replied, "So it's begun already..."

A few moments later the tavern starting shaking. Some people thought it was an earthquake. It started to become evident that this wasn't an earthquake as monstrous silhouettes started fading in and out of the tavern. After a minute, some of these silhouettes started taking color. Some of them started to look like dragons, some looked like wolves, all look beastly. Eventually the tavern was engulfed by darkness and everybody lost consciousness.

Dimension: Myriad Agony
Nation: Limbo
Population: 12,000
Date: January 17, 2024
Location: Dimension Bridge

Limbo was the place that became the nation that was an inverse to Runouw. It was a desolate place, with green sand all around. Food was incredibly hard to grow. People would frequently turn against each other to slaughter one-another. Many resorted to cannibalism to survive. However, there was a small community that attempted to work together for the better survival of the whole. This group formed what is now called Limbo.

Raymond was busy checking up on the Dimension Bridge for whatever reason. Although the 9-foot tall arch was considered indestructible, for some reason there was a crack on one side of it. Nobody knew when the crack got there, how to repair this crack, nor how to widen it. However, when Raymond checked the crack this time, the crack was larger. It now went around one leg of the arch. If you didn't know any better, you might think that the one part was separated from the rest of the arch at the crack.

Suddenly a portal opened inside the arch. This was unusual because advancements in wormhole technology had rendered using that portal as an obsolete method for banishment. However, a figured exited the portal.

This person was around seven feet tall. He had a held a blade about 6 feet long. The had brown bandages on his head that made seeing his face impossible. However, his black hair was still open to see. His eyes were golden. They had this aura of authority to them.

The stranger turned his back to Raymond. The man then lifted his sword over his head and swung it at the top of the arch. His attack made a clean cut in the arch. An earthquake started in response to the broken arch. Images of plants, greenery, and city life start flashing around the arch. The stranger then positioned the sword to his left, then made a cut at the cracked part of the arch. Once again, this left a clean cut. The images started to form around the arch with much more detail. Parts of this city even seemed to collide with parts of Limbo. Soon enough, everything was engulfed in a white light. Raymond lost consciousness.

Nan woke up to find himself in front of the Dimension Bridge. However, a fourth of the arch was missing and the what remained had cracks on it. The city around him was really twisted. Some of the buildings had missing walls. Many had green sand inside of them. A few that wooden spikes with skulls hanging off them of. Some of those spikes still had actual heads on them. This was definitely not the 11th District Nan was used to.

"WeeGeeEEEEEIEIEIEIEIEIEIEIE!" An odd voice went from really low to a pitch so high it could shatter glass. Nan looked behind him to see none other, than a Weegee, at least 20 feet away. Then all of a sudden, it was right next to Nan. Nan punched it in the face. It didn't budge. Its face didn't even recess where Nan hit it. It felt like flesh, but it's face was frozen in a soul piercing stare.

It screamed again. "WegeeeEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIEooooerrreeeegeeorrreeee." Nan suddenly felt a tug on his face, like something was pulling on it really hard. It felt like somebody was stretching his face out and hitting it with a lead baseball bat.

Nan sent out a burst of Darkness that sent the Weege flying. However, it would only be a moment before the Weegee found him again, so he used his Darkness to negate light and make himself invisible. He then ran as far away from there as he could, not looking back as the thing screamed out, "WHy? WhhyYYYYIIE dossshhhhes nodoOOOOOOBBYYYY wiIKESt WEEEggggeeeeeeIEIIEIEIEIE!?"

Nan eventually ran far enough that he couldn't hear it anymore. When Nan finally decided to give himself time to breath he heard a noise that sounded like glass. He wasn't sure whether to dread this or not, so he stayed invisible. He wasn't expecting to see what made the noise.

Standing only six feet away was Xero. However, Xero was covered in the red "Crimson" stuff. This glassy red stuff cover his forearms and lower legs. While this was kind of normal, his eyes were glowing red. Supposedly his eyes would glow red if the Crimson started to corrode his body and mind. Apparently Xero wasn't kidding.

Xero head slowly moved back and forth, scouting for Nan, as Nan most likely made a lot of noise running to where he stood. During this a pigeon decided to perch on Xero's shoulder. A moment later its feet were encased in the Crimson Glass. The pigeon tried helplessly to escape. Xero reached over to grab the pigeon. When he did, he did with enough force to crush the skeleton of the pigeon. Xero ripped it off his shoulder and used the Crimson to crush it further, the insides oozing out the gaps between his finger. After Xero was satisfied with how ground the pigeon's lifeless corpse was, he dropped it and let it hit the ground. He then stamped his boot on the pigeon, and shifted it back and forth, grinding the husk some more. Afterwards he finally decided to leave in a direction that went away from Nan.

Bleak[chp2]

Date: January 17, 2024
Location: Grand Library

Raymond woke up under a pile of books. The stories in them dated anywhere from 2011-2022. He picked one up and read the title. It was a book called The Raymond Wars. Apparently it took people awhile to get over the ruckus he caused and stereotyped him as a villain. He spent an hour trying to read the book. However, since multiple people wrote the book, their ideas clashed, resulting in a plot that was an utter mess. "People actually write garbage like this?" He asked himself out loud since he had doubts there was anybody around.

Raymond was six feet tall. He wore a red hoodie. The sleeves were usually pulled back to his elbows Under this he worse a black shirt that said "Zombies want brains. You're safe" that showed whenever he felt like unzipping his jacket. His pants were denim jeans. His hands had large metal gloves on them. The part of the glove that went on his wrist was a fairly large ring. His boots were also metal; with large rings above his ankles. Both his boots and his gloves were often combined with Raymond's lightning powers to form electromagnets.

Since Raymond spent so much time in Limbo, his hair lost any color and was just white. His face had a large scar on the right half of his forehead, as well as another on the left side of his face that went from his ear to his eye and nose. The scar on his head looked like he had a big cut and was given to him by the great Superyoshi. The scar on the left side of his head however, was a burn mark given to him by the infamous Level Story Mode. His eyes were sky blue. Curiously enough his eyes only glowed if he wanted them to.

Raymond looked around to see if he could find something to set The Raymond Wars on fire with. He found an out of place oil lamp a few bookshelves away. The lamp appeared to be an ornamental light from Limbo. He picked up the lamp, walked back to that pile of books he woke up in, turned the lamp on and then threw it on top of the book he wanted to burn. The oil started spreading everywhere and making the fire worse. Eventually some of the wooden parts of the building started to light on fire. Since the fire was eventually going to spread to the other books and eventually burn the whole place down, Raymond decided to find an exit. Luckily for him there was a fire exit nearby. When he exited he found that he was on the second floor. Since the fire exit lead to an iron railing, he decided to combine his control over electricity with his gloves to magnetize and bend the railing into a metal box. He then carried the box with him as he walked away from the burning library.

Diagnosed; You Have No Soul[chprk]

Date: January 17, 2024
Location: Robot Factory

Zunar woke up in a short daze. The place around him was metallic. Scrap parts from broken robots littered the ground, the walls and even the ceiling. The empty state of the place reminded him of District 34. However, there were significantly more robots. Unlike the robot factory he was used to, these were all broken, not just some of them. Not only that, but there was evidence these robots were broken in combat with something savage: some robot legs had teeth marks, others had scratch marks, some even appeared to have been melted by something alkaline. Whatever it is that caused this graveyard, Zunar didn't want to run into it.

He sat up and looked at his surroundings. The room he was in was fairly spacious, albeit cluttered. Loose wires hung from the ceiling. There was a particularly large pile of scrap in the corner of the room opposite from the one he woke up in. While there was no sign of a proper exit, there was a hole in the roof that was 5-feet in diameter.

Misery Loves Company[chpmm]

Location: ???

MP3 Amplifier woke up under a pile of wood. All around she saw green sand, collapsed building, and bones. The ground had bones of many kinds partially buried under sand. There were even skulls on wooden spears that jutted out of the ground. The place was horrible. It was a depressing place to look at, much less be in. Amp stood up. She tried to remember what just happened to her.

Dimension: Mother Earth

Location: Residential District 30

Today was a fairly regular day. She woke up, made breakfast for Nan and herself, then went to the Skyscrapers of Info to get the latest news. Most people had already predicted she and Nan would get married, but surprisingly enough it was only official two months ago. The state of the newlywed couple seemed very optimistic.

The news stated the 79th SM63 LDC was ending. The 10th LL LDC was also being scheduled to begin soon. Arkanine's attempt at insurrection had been put down. For some reason or another she and at least 5 other users really didn't like that NanTheDark was a GloMod. Two years ago, the position was becoming overwhelming for MP3, so Nan took over to help her out. While Nan was doing a fairly good job, some people weren't satisfied. Their sheer hatred for Nan rivaled past anti-Mod forces, including the anti-MoD, and anti-Buff forces. Although the consensus is that the anti-MoD force was still the worst of the three.
