My World
Before I begin, I would just like to say this is a story I am making. I got the idea of writing a story from Brandon's Story, plus I've had experience with making stories. So I thought, hey! Why not? Let me know what you think.
CHAPTER 1
It was a day I couldn't forget. A day I'll be cursed to remember for the rest of my life.
No. curse is too strong a word. But then, should I care? Should I care about what I call it, what it did to me? Maybe I should just put it all behind. Live in another state, and change my name, my age. Heck; even a gender change if it comes down to it. I could start over.
No. I could never start over. It was just....there. It just happened. Leaving it behind will solve nothing. I'll go through sleepless nights, uncomfortabley shifting in all directions; sweating, heavily breathing, my mind racing at three-thousand miles per hour. And if I did fall asleep, I'd have a nightmare so bad, that I'd just have one more reason not to go to sleep.
I can't put it behind. It's un-put-behind-able. Is that a word? Again, though; should I care?
I guess an explantion is owed to you, isn't it? I guess I owe you that, since I've dragged you into my world, where I am the victim, and all you are...is the watcher. Well, it all began like this.
It was a bright sunny day. Not a cloud in the sky, so no rain. How convienient? I was gonna spend my whole Saturday morning on the computer anyway. "You've got 30 minutes, and then I need to check something" my mom said, right before I went into the computer room.
The daily routine: check Mcleodgaming.com for updates, visit Smash4ideas.wikia.com and maybe work on my wiki, check the weekly Super Nuke Bros. Update, go to Runouw.com, and that's basically it. I typed in Mcleodgaming.com, only to see that there was--you guessed it--no update.
Finally after everything else, I went to Runouw.com to see my fellow friends. But all of a sudden, I heard a loud shriek. "AHHHH!"
It was my mom.
I ran into the kitchen, because that's where I could've sworn I heard the shriek. But yet, no mom. I checked in her bedroom, but nothing.
Where could she be? I desperately yelled "MOM!" Ten seconds pass. Not a sound. "MOOOOM!" I scream a second time, as loud as I can. Nothing.
Wait a minute, I thought. Outside? Yes, she could be outside. But then, where I live, outside is a completely different world.
Without hesitation, I dashed to the front door, and opened it, only to fall on my butt from the force of the pull. Dangit! This was no time for minor things like this. I got back up, unlocked the door, opened it, and ran.
But my car was gone. Well, okay, not my car; my parents' car, but you know what I mean.
Where could they have gone? Though the head-boggling question still popped into my head; why did my mom shriek?
After about 5 minutes, I finally realized; my dad was gone too! They must've been somewhere together. That gave me an idea. I simply call my dad on his cellphone. But then, how do I call him? We had no housephone, and chances were, my mom took her phone as well. I went against those chances, and searched for her phone.
I figured the most appropriate place to searh was their bedroom. But I looked and looked and looked. Nothing. Suddenly I noticed something behind one of the family photos on the shelf: the phone! But it was my dad's phone. Crap! He must've forgot it, which probably means that my mom forgot hers since they were probably in a hurry. What's worse is even if she did remeber to bring it; I didn't know the number. Well, now what do I do?
The question still sprang into my head; why did my mom scream? I didn't know, and my brother, Alex--who was still sleeping--didn't know eaither. What would I do now? I didn't know where they were, or how long they'd be, or if they'd ever come back.
So, to take all of this off my mind, I did what I usually do when I'm bored: mess with my brother! I ran and jumped on top of his side, only to find a fist in the nuts. "AHHHH! DUDE! WHAT THE HECK?!" I kicked the couch he was sleeping on, to show my anger.
I realized something. He wasn't looking at me. He had his hand cupped to his face, where his eyes peeled, even though no one could see him. "Uhh..You okay?" I asked. No answer. I moved his hand away, only to find him in silent tears.
"Alex, what happened?" I aksed. I could be a pain in his side sometimes, but I was very considerate of him.
He didn't answer, but he didn't have to. I knew what was wrong with him. He saw what happened to mom.
