Sensory Sea

everything amplifies and skyrockets.

A smile is elation,
a laugh a revelation,
a mistake humiliation
and tears devestation.

The warmth of your hand is a rhapsody,
your eyes a masterpiece,
your presence an honor,
your words poetry
and your voice a cadence.

Sleep is serenity
and running is flying.

Every pleasure is perfection
and every pain torment.

It's a suffocating power,
and the ground shakes beneath me every step I take.
Towers rise and fall,
and we are often killed and then reborn.

It's a far cry from normal
but I couldn't possibly imagine
the vacant feeling of an average breath from my throat
or the exxpected solidity of ground beneath my feet
the same way again.

I'm too far in the waters now
to ever find my way back to surface
and I'm okay with that.

We can drown in this magnificent sensory sea together.
