There was a tree next street. It was big, powerful, it showed everyone what a real men is. Strong, brave. Several swing sets hung from it, kids climbed it all day amd the tree was just strong enough. Nobody could beat him.
One day, a rival appeared. They call them the Wind. It was said nobody that could defeat him. Truth is, people have always ignored it. They live their lives until the wind decides them to blow their souls away. It was pretty simple.
As I said, the tree next street was like a real men is, and that includes being competitive and arrogant. So much, he one day decided to challange the wind to a battle.
The tree offered good resistence, but in the end, it was blown away. That was a sad day for all kids. Including myself.
I was so angry to the wind, so angry. I couldn't take it, the most powerful being has lost? Strenght and bravery were nothing againts the Wind? I wanted to proove that wrong.
It was exactly one year after the tree died, I was prepated; I was sure nobody could beat me, not even the Wind.
I challange it to a battle, just like the tree did. I oposed myself to the wind. It was strong, the brusts were insane, but I resisted and keeped on resisting until the Wind gave up.
I was cheered, I was the hero that defeated the wind! Suddenly, I passed out.
I woke up, I was in a dark room. I had no idea what was going on. Was I crazy?
"You are dead" a voice said.
"What?"
"Nobody can beat the wind."
"But I did!"
"You don't believe me?"
A ray of light appeared from the sky. It was pointing something....
it was a long grey log, with some very few orange leaves on it.
Note: the Wind DOES represent something. It's not as simple as it looks.
