The Scary Story Collection

Postby TheMMMification » September 20th, 2010, 8:55 pm

I decided to start making scary stories, and since they are going to be short I'll be putting all of them in one topic. Just a note...

THESE STORIES ARE, AND NEVER WILL BE, TRUE. IF YOU THINK THAT ANYONE OF THESE STORIES ARE TRUE, YOU EITHER HAVE SERIOUS READING PROBLEMS, OR YOU DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO ALL CAPS TEXT!

There, I got that off of my chest.

The Revenge of the Game

A while ago, Twighlight Princess came out for the Gamecube and Wii. I got the Gamecube
one. I beat the game two times and was about to beat it a third time but I stopped playing right before I got to Hyrule Castle. Many years later, I grew up, got married, and had two sons. I still had all of my games, so I gave them to my kids. When they first started playing Twilight Princess, as they created a new profile, I saw my decade-old profile that I had never bothered to finish, and the memories came back. I then longed to finish the game, despite growing out of video games.

One day, when work had been canceled due to heavy rain, and all other possible activities were taken over by the family, I sat down on the couch in the play room and started up Twilight Princess. I selected my profile, and everything started. In the game, I walked into Hyrule Castle, and started killing the enemies and solving puzzles. As I walked around, I found that area where you have to turn into a wolf and dig in the place the ghosts were pointing at. I turned wolf, turned on my vision, and was horrified to see ghosts all over the place. They were crying, walking around, some even followed my character. As I moved on, I got to the area where there was supposed to be another ghost area, but it was instead a big hall that could only be traversed with the vision. As I walked on, I saw ghosts of all of the bosses in the game. They were all violently slashed in lots of places, they had some remarkably gruesome injuries on them, and they reacted violently when I walked towards them. As I went on, a creepy version of an old zelda theme was playing, getting louder as I walked on. When I had gotten to a separate room from the hall, I got trapped in there, along with the ghost of Zant. I stayed as far away as possible from him, and found a chest that could only be opened in normal form. When I opened it, there was nothing. I turned to look and screamed when I noticed that the Zant ghost was still seeable, even without the vision. Assuming that the only way out was to interact with the Zant ghost, I walked over and touched him. Suddenly loud, sudden music started playing as millions of Zant ghost clones danced all over the room, each dance unique. Suddenly, my character died without warning, and the game over screen appeared, but with Zant as the background, scaring the life out of me. I wanted to turn the game off, I just wanted to, but I had the feeling that the game was trying to tell me something, so I restarted.

I found myself in the area before Ganondorf. I had been stripped of all equipment, and I only had the ordon sword with me. I walked into the boss area, and the cutscene was skipped and I got right to fighting Possessed Zelda. The graphics were glitching up, and occasionally, for a split second, Link's graphic would change to the phrase " Don't Abandon Me". As I attempted the battle with just an ordon sword, I realized that I couldn't reflect Zelda's energy balls. I continued on anyways. After a while, I somehow got onto the back of Zelda, and, in a cutscene, Link started violently stabbing her with the ordon sword. I couldn't even watch. After Zelda dropped to the floor, dead, the screen froze and blanked into black. Then, all of a sudden, the phrase "I wanted to challenge you to a hard challenge for the third time, but you left me before that could happen. You have gotten your punishment." popped up as Zant's scream came up. The wii gave a few sparks, fell on its side, and it automatically turned off. I took this chance to run out of there and I never let anybody in for the rest of the day.

The next day, my older son came in and started playing Twilight Princess. My file had been deleted. He started up on his file, not noticing. As it turned out, he was about to beat Twilight Princess. As he walked on to Hyrule Castle, I yelled at him to stop, telling him of the scariness of it. However, none of my experiences happened, everything was normal as if it never happened. My son told my wife about this, and I had to admit that I had an experience with the game. She took me to see a psychiatrist, and he seemed very interested in my case, of how a game was angry at someone for leaving it just before the final challenges. He had me play the entirety of Twilight Princess with him watching, and nothing similar to my experiences happened, even at the Hyrule Temple, so he told me that I was hallucinating the whole thing, that I never even played it, and I had some fear in me that my game will take revenge, and during that hallucination, I had erased my game before turning off the wii. This calmed me down until a few years later, when I was diagnosed with the inability to hallucinate, and it was with me ever since I was born.

Sorry, I understand what you're trying to get across, but it doesn't make sense.

I'm guessing this is a compilation story place? If not, SCREW YOU I'M STILL DOING THIS.

I found this story on teh netz a while back and decided to share with you guys. :3

The Watcher

A man went to a hotel and walked up to the front desk to check in. The woman at the desk gave him his key and told him that on the way to his room, there was a door with no number that was locked and no one was allowed in there. Especially no one should look inside the room, under any circumstances. So he followed the instructions of the woman at the front desk, going straight to his room, and going to bed. The next night his curiosity would not leave him alone about the room with no number on the door. He walked down the hall to the door and tried the handle. Sure enough it was locked. He bent down and looked through the wide keyhole. Cold air passed through it, chilling his eye. What he saw was a hotel bedroom, like his, and in the corner was a woman whose skin was completely white. She was leaning her head against the wall, facing away from the door. He stared in confusion for a while. He almost knocked on the door, out of curiosity, but decided not to. This disinclination saved his life. He crept away from the door and walked back to his room. The next day, he returned to the door and looked through the wide keyhole. This time, all he saw was redness. He couldn't make anything out besides a distinct red color, unmoving. Perhaps the inhabitants of the room knew he was spying the night before, and had blocked the keyhole with something red.

At this point he decided to consult the woman at the front desk for more information. She sighed and said, "Did you look through the keyhole?" The man told her that he had and she said, "Well, I might as well tell you the story. A long time ago, a man murdered his wife in that room, and her ghost haunts it. But these people were not ordinary. They were white all over, except for their eyes, which were red."

No, I'm the only one who posts stories here. But that's okay.

By the way, your story was much scarier than mine.

This is a preview to a story that I'll submit here on Halloween.

I like messing with the paranormal. I've messed around with a Ouija board (Though nothing happened), I've done demonic rituals (Also nothing happened), and I've created a mirror box. A mirror box is 4 tall pieces of wood the same size with 4 tall mirrors and a light source on the inside, and it's sealed off with another piece of wood. A person is supposed to go in the mirror box for 10 minutes, if they stayed in any longer that person could suffocate. It is unknown what it's supposed to do, but from what I've heard, it isn't something to mess around with too often. I started a business with the mirror box, because I have a great fear of mirrors, so I wouldn't dare go in one, but I wanted to try it out. Always, always, when a customer went in, they would want to get out after 30 seconds because of claustrophobia. This went on for 3 and a half years until my bigger brother, Evin, wanted to go in.

Edit: Full version here

It's almost October, and I've decided to add in a filler story that I heard a few day.

The Window

A young girl, named Julie, was left home alone when her parents went to have dinner at a fancy restaurant. She went up to the window and noticed a man, who walked back and forth on the lawn. When he saw her, he ran away. Scared, she called to the police in a panic, saying "Help! I think this creepy guy is stalking me! And if he isn't, he was intruding on our property!" When the police came, she pointed at the window she saw him with. "Lady," A police man said, "That's a mirror."

Before anybody thinks that this girl is dumb, have you ever looked out a window when it's dark outside?
