Thanks, Suyo, this tutorial really helped. One question though, would it be possible to make it so that when you hit a switch, a block moves up, moves back down to where it was, and then stops moving until you hit the switch again?

Yes, this is possible! First, go to the second tab of the block item and set the movement of the block so that it moves up and down indefinitely. Then, set the block to "switch activated". Create a switch with a program that looks something like Activate block, Wait x, Turn Off block, Turn On this. You may have to experiment with the Wait length to get it right.

Here's an example:
Code: Select all
150x50~0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*2J*49*2K2J*49*2K0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*~1,112,1432,0,0,r|3:block,256,1504,2,2,101.101.101.101,2,64,16,0,0,0,0,-,1,5,64,64,0,0,0,u,0.2,999,c,1,1,0.2|5,152,1471,activate:block:wait:0;128;this:turnoff:block:turnon:this,1,1~0*7500*~~My%20Level~1~1,1~0~

Sort of a follow up to what Four said, you can use the Turnon, Wait, Turnoff to make cool opening doors like this:
Code: Select all
150x50~0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*42*5d0*4*2K*3*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*5g0*3*5f5d*7*5g0*3*5f5d0*27*5d*6*5g05f5d*9*5g05f5d*2*0*27*5d*7*05d*11*05d*3*0*27*5d*6*5h05e5d*9*5h05e5d*2*0*27*5d*5*5h0*3*5e5d*7*5h0*3*5e5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*5*0*5*5d*7*0*5*5d0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*27*5d*23*0*39*5d0*7*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*0*47*2K*3*~1,1106,1417,0,0,Right|6:s7,1168,1390,turnon:w13:wait:0;32;:turnoff:w13:turnon:s6,0,1,48,128|6:s6,1248,1390,turnon:w13:wait:0;32;:turnoff:w13:turnon:s7,0,1,48,128|3:w13,1232,1443,1,1,351,2,-1,0,0,0,0,0,-,1,1,16,32,0,0,0,u,0.2,0.2,c,1,1,0.2|3:w13,1232,1466,1,1,351,2,-1,0,0,0,0,0,-,1,1,16,32,0,0,0,d,0.2,0.2,c,1,1,0.2|15,1056,0,1;1,1|11,1424,1536,1,0,1423.5,1054.5,,0|11,944,1440,1,0,944,1440,,0|3:w13,1232,1059,1,1,351,2,-1,0,0,0,0,0,-,1,1,16,32,0,0,0,u,0.2,0.2,c,1,1,0.2|3:w13,1232,1082,1,1,351,2,-1,0,0,0,0,0,-,1,1,16,32,0,0,0,d,0.2,0.2,c,1,1,0.2|6:s7,1168,1006,turnon:w13:wait:0;32;:turnoff:w13:turnon:s6,0,1,48,128|6:s6,1248,1006,turnon:w13:wait:0;32;:turnoff:w13:turnon:s7,0,1,48,128|11,1424,1056,1,0,1424,1152,,0|11,944,1152,1,0,943,1437,,0|16,1216,1184~0*1481*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*7*0*5*6K*7*0*31*6K*2*0*5117*~~My%20Level~1~1,1~0~

Thank you very much for makng this thread, I was getting a bit confused on how to use switches correctly. It seems so simple now, I can't believe that was so confusing for me.
