Should story-tellers get medals for their efforts?

Poll ended at December 5th, 2009, 4:54 am

Yes, they should be recognized for their creativity in the stories and they deserve it.

No, they should do it just for the sake of entertaining others, and you should'nt get a medal for that.

Well, that is to say the stories are actually any good.

That also goes for the level designer contest medals. A lot of people may try to go for it, but only the best will win.

*shoots Ridder*

Also, why didn't you put this topic in the Site Discussion forum? I think more people would see it and acknowledge your opinion there.

Hm...well, I don't know if you can make polls there. But anyway, if a mod wants to move it, then............yeah.

Okay, someone shoot me for that.

Hm...so you're saying that if you won the LD contest, and won the medal, to show all of Runouw.com, that YOU...Ridder...are the best of the best; that you wouldn't care? That it would just simply be an "object"? You just don't care because you don't have one.

Also, sorry for double-post.

Yeah, don't do that, just edit you previous post. If you're gonna say sorry for something ahead of time, just don't do it.

And I agree with both of you, but I have something to add myself.

@Ridder: It may be just an object, but it's recognizing the acomplishment that makes the medal actually worth something.

@blablob: There are some people that always use the "kiddy" way of an arguement and say that the other person is arguing just because he doesn't have "whatever", A.K.A. you. Having a medal for stories would be great, but don't argue on your own cause. See other people's point of view.

Well, incase you haven't noticed, I don't have any medals either. And I wouldn't even know if my story would win an award.

Well, anyway, some people do want awards, and some people don't. There is no right or wrong; just somebody's opinion.
