Oh yeah. I actually was thinking of something like that for the "After activation of..." thingy...

Also I have an idea: Pause. Pauses something. Great for LD platform special effects. Also very good for an idea that I had in mind: statues. Something like this:
Hitbox74: Pause. Link: Statue1.
Mage: Let's go get our reward for clearing the leve... uh... a very realistic statue... wait... an enemy? Nah... don't follows me... *jumps over*
*a hitbox that is behind the statue is activated*
Hitbox75: Turn On (or Activate). Link: Statue1.
Statue? No! Enemy!: *starts chasing the player*
Mage: Holy cr...! *gets killed*

B.T.W. tryed with "Turn Off: enemy" trigger but the enemies are only affected by the "Move Item" trigger:
Being lazy since... zzz

Here's a suggestion: In the triggers, add things like "If (condition) {statement;statement;statement;}". Which it is a function. And add health related conditions.

Yes, I know this is quite a big bump, but I have a good idea.

There are a lot of people who don't like the LL designer because it's "too complicated" and they want something more like Super Mario 63 was. The tile morphing was supposed to make it easier, but some people would like it more like a puzzle-piece, make-it-yourself style system like SM63. So, maybe there should be a Tile Morphing checkbox. By default it is on, and the Tiles tab looks like it does now. However, if you check it off (it will remember this setting in the level code), all the tiles change to how SM63 was. Now, this would create a TON of tiles slopped together. So, you add the Tileset selector from SM63 into LL. Each individual tile would be there for people to use, just like in SM63. The Tilesets would be like "Grassland", "Cave", "Castle", "Dungeon", "Snow", and stuff like that.

The goal of the tile morphing feature was to make it easier to create levels, but some people have gotten familiar with the SM63 designer and can't really leave it. So, as well as putting the LL designer into SM63, you should probably do the opposite as well and put the SM63 designer into LL, and make the two interchangeable for people who really want it.

This would be a bit like the "Direct Mode" feature in the VVVVVV designer (I bet none of you know what I'm talking about), except the tiles don't revert if you change back, since in LL you would have every tile available that is created from the tile morphing.

Another useful thing for this: You could create the outline of a level with Tile Morphing on, and then to create more minor details switch Tile Morphing off.

TL;DR: Add a Tile Morphing checkbox, and as well as implementing the LL designer into SM63, implement SM63's designer into LL, and let people switch between them.

Yes, YES YES YES, @ checkbox
No, NO NO NO, @sm63 part

LL is supposed to be a major improvement of SM63's level designer, let's keep it that way, not a dupe.

That's sort of the whole point of my idea. There are quite a few people who don't like the new tile morphing, so why not let them put it together themselves like in SM63? The two games are completely different, and it's not like a tweak in the designer that allows for infinite nostalgia will ruin everything.

The problem with that is that tile morphing is a core game mechanic. And in this game each tile type has over 100 different tiles to them. The Grass and dirt tiles themselves make up about 600 different tiles. The decision to make tiles morph automatically was made purposely so the level designer would be less complicated.

Although if you really wanted to make levels tile-by-tile without having the morphing ruin your designs it should eventually be possible with special block items (moving blocks that have cutoff or tiles set to be transparent) or extended tile ids (meaning you might only be able to use them through some kind of "cheat"). Although I'm not focusing on this kind of feature at the moment.

I was playing a demo of mutant mudds and it'd be nice if switching the character between foreground and background using a tile was added, like how it shows in the picture provided.
