Okay so I was lucky enough to get a level I'd liked:

Light's Rebirth by Volcove

This is the 2nd placer of the 5th LDC, so it's style and layout is rather similar to the other entrants of the contest. However I totally loved this level. If Space Colony happened to have not been made for this LDC, there's no way the other levels would've stood a chance against this IMO. So let's see. The level switches a lot between snow and jungle throughout, and of course we're not surprised when we see the excellent graphics, and when we see the cloud in the snow aka the snow that slows you down. (:3) While I played this level a little while ago now so I can't remember it exactly, however one bit always gets my love- the ice fairies. I just loved the idea, the platforming technique in general is just really inventive and it's a bit of a challenge too. When we get to the building, we enter this puzzle where ice and water is switched depending on the temperature of the room you enter. I know how Volcove uses a lot of transformation in his levels, and there's another example right there. The whole adventure of it is really a lot of fun and exploration. Certainly something that'll keep you entertained for a while. There are only minor flaws that I can pick out, for example, the single jungle tile pillars with the bullies on top of them. That I didn't like, because the chances are you'll get pushed off them even if you've only been standing there for a second. A few others, but nothing too serious as far as I can remember.

I'll give this... 8.5/10.

The first boss looked really nice. But if you go to the far right. You can stand on the switch block and have only to wait until they disappear. So the fight became actually quite pointless there. But I tried it without that trick too. And. I think the time could be a bit shorter. Because it becomes a bit boring to jump always through the yellow blocks. But well done with the thunder lakitu.

The jolly roger eel didn't look well. the mouth was separate very often. And an eye or something like that could have been good.
The design needs improvement there. The 'crates' were destroyed very fast from the bullet bills. So. Uhhm. I think that was bad luck. Same here. You hadn't really to do something. You have just to wait somewhere. (Often in a relative safe place with spinning)

Eye rok X. Well. It was more challenging. But same here. I think the battles tookto long. You should probably make the switch time shorter. The design was ok. Nice idea with the sound through the thwomps. After the battle I found a door which leads too...

The design was quite well. And the challenge was ok too. Even when you can easily jump on his head and wait for the end of the battle. But the fight here took waaaay to long time. Get sure to make the time much shorter here.

The last fight was against.... Kamella. Nice design again. But a face could be added. the idea with the fire was quite challenging and looked great. A good final boss. But same like with the fight with baron brr. The time is just too long.

The first boss looked really nice. But if you go to the far right. You can stand on the switch block and have only to wait until they disappear. So the fight became actually quite pointless there. But I tried it without that trick too. And. I think the time could be a bit shorter. Because it becomes a bit boring to jump always through the yellow blocks. But well done with the thunder lakitu.

The jolly roger eel didn't look well. the mouth was separate very often. And an eye or something like that could have been good.
The design needs improvement there. The 'crates' were destroyed very fast from the bullet bills. So. Uhhm. I think that was bad luck. Same here. You hadn't really to do something. You have just to wait somewhere. (Often in a relative safe place with spinning)

Eye rok X. Well. It was more challenging. But same here. I think the battles tookto long. You should probably make the switch time shorter. The design was ok. Nice idea with the sound through the thwomps. After the battle I found a door which leads too...

I think Baron Brrr is the nicest one out of all,it got medium challenge,and acutally works.If you talk about stand on Baron Brrr's head,you surely a super player to do that without slipping off.
