Podobo Fort.
I have to say something before I start with the gameplay: the concept is trully original. I liked the blosses you made, even if they looked kinda simple. It is a lot better than just placing random fire towers through the level, and I apriciate that. The gameplay worked well for the most part. It was mostly simple jumps and quite simple puzzles, filled with enemies. Maybe a bit too enemies. There was some lag through the level that I can accuse the enemies for it. For example, inside the fort for the first time, you had to go to the second room through some rocks, there are two abnoxious big goombas there. Bullies were well placed for the most part, and so where bomb-omb, but the Goombas tended to be just annoying. There were some koopas and boo's too, but they were ok. The flow of the level was kinda confusing, you had no idea where to go next, and the disabled plattaforms made everything more confusing. It kinda took time to figure that there were breakble boxes behind the wodden plattaforms. Or that there were plattaforms in the rock staircase when you enter the fort for the first time. The pillars worked for the most part: some of them worked really well (the one after the second level transition is noteworthy in paritcular, and the one after the boss) and some of them worked just fine. The decor was good, but not stunning. The fort looked good, and so did the lava plains, but it does not make me go WOW. I would recommend adding more plants or something, or a bit more complex tiling would work too. Still, it looks good, no actual need to change it. The Boss...sigh. The difficulty of the level worked fine until that moment. It was ridicilous, it was impossible to find any kind of safe spot. Sometimes it was all in fire, and standing on top of the spinning blocks is a ♥♥♥♥♥. The design was good though. The ones that took the gold for me were the Elite Podobos. They were pretty well designed. I liked the idea of going inside the paintings, even if it has been used 10000 times. What hit me the most (negatively) was the end of the level: I thought achiviements were for an extra challange, they should not be needed to win the level. I got all of them, and they were cleverly placed, but still...I just felt it did not work well. The idea of the "star road" was also pretty good, I liked the symbol of it.
Overall, it was an enjoyable level. It had many flaws, but also many original stuff to make it up. You should work a bit more on the difficulty spikes, and a bit more on avoiding stuff that is obligatory to win the level too secret. A good expirience though.
