I mentioned that because the Level Portal is less active when an LDC is running. There isn't an LDC to attend right now, so anyone with spare time could spend some time at the Portal, but we haven't seen anything going on there, if at all.

You can't expect people to finish an LDC entry and immediately start churning out levels. People need breaks.

And also, what will you do after every single item is added into SM63 and it dies again? Adding the items are just buying time. People design when they want to. They can't be forced. Why not just make a new rule "EVERY1 MUST MAKE 20 LEVELZ A DAY" and shove it in the rule topic?

 Triple J meant that if people could and wants to,then they could spend some time at the portal.
Also, not all people need breaks. Some people just want to keep LDing.
But now there isn't much activity on the LP.

1.Excuuuuuseeee me.
2.I haven't seen any people LDing endlessly yet.
3.If Triple J meant that, wouldn't that mean that it's because people don't want to LD? If people don't want to LD,than adding new stuff and turning SM63 into LL Enitity Two be useless?

There's been several things that worked greatly together and paralized the portal for a while.

1. The LDC lowers of course the amount of levels in the portal a bit.
2. There have been some problems with the approval stuff at that time but it seems to get back to it's old state now.
3. There have been pretty much levels I wouldn't allow to get into the portal due enemie spam or real lack of effort at all.

Those things and me doing approval stuff every... three days due inactivity or just too much lemon work via PM caused what made you feel like the portal would be dead.

I will get sure not to let that happen again too soon. : P

@the argument two posts ago.
Either my logic is totally different from the rest of the world's, or I think I'm too good with grammar.

...Just take a look at the early pages of the Portal. You probably haven't, I'd think. The evidence of death is clear - comparing the past with the present.
Just look at how much activity we lost, NOT IN GENERAL, but averagely. :omg:

For the old portal,it never died. Levels kept shooting out. But the levels were all just spam levels with zero effort. That's why the new portal was created and now lemons have to look at the levels. If the levels didn't need to be approved by staff first,I believe you would see activity-and a drop in the quality of the levels.

Also since this is the general forum for discussion of both LL portal and sm63 portal

I'll summarize why the LL portal is dead.

People aren't motivated to learn about the easiness that is triggers.
People don't want to play LL and submit levels that probably won't even be noticed.
Like said before, LDCs give people motivations. Runouw has mentioned (to me at least) that he plans a LLDC (sounds catchy) soon.

Not only do LDCs give people motivation, but since LDC levels cannot be made before a contest, people would rather only make levels for an LDC instead of for their leisure, in fear of an LDC theme in which that level would have been perfect for, causing that person to get frustrated since they can't submit that level, and lose motivation, even though they could make another level that fits the theme, but some themes aren't broad enough, and sometimes it's not easy to make a new level which is different from the old level, especially if the original level was made soon before that LDC began, and so to not be frustrated, people therefore only make levels for contests.
