Actionscript Resources Topic

Thumbs up x1

Come here for help with Actionscript coding. I've gathered some pretty useful and free (!) resources you can use to learn or advance your learning of Actionscript. I would appreciate if you guys posted any other resources you had yourself. Just be sure to clarify what version of Actionscript it's for tho.

-The two main things I myself used to learn the basics. Actionscript 2.

-Other helpful stuff

I think I have some more links, but I'd need to look for them. Here's this for now.

http://www.emanueleferonato.com/ - If you want AS2, you're going to have to look around the site a lot.

http://www.jbum.com/ - If you look at the coding of the flash things this guy made, you could probably dissect it to suit your needs.

You could also try this: http://www.kongregate.com/labs

or if you want to make a tile based game: http://www.tonypa.pri.ee/tbw/index.html

This could be used for AS3: http://active.tutsplus.com/category/tutorials/games/

Maybe this can also be used as a Q&A topic for Actionscript, just like the one for Game Maker.

Wow. Nearly a one year bump. Who'da thot I'd be the one to do such a thing? :blab:

Anyways, I found this website on another forum and thought I'd share it with you guys: http://www.flashgametuts.com/

Now I don't own Flash right now, but I have been trying to learn ActionScript lately, and when I came across this website I found its structure to be extremely helpful. I assume you guys will too.

Seriously, anyone trying to learn some ActionScript ought to give it a look.

Wanting to start AS3, I've decided FlashDevelop will be my "weapon of choice".

I found this tutorial on using FlashDevelop and the basics of AS3, and also a choice of integrating it with Flash Professional. There are tons of useful hints in the comments as well.

Sorry for the almost-a-year bump.

I think I know something which can help beginners and/or starters:
