If you're including my comment about Yuri's high score, no, I don't think he didn't deserve to win. Despite the fact I disliked the huge content of glitches and bugs in his level, I still think it was more or less solid as compared to Nan's, which clearly the time got him. I'm just surprised Ven gave him such a high score (and didn't even notice the awkward gameplay), because I honestly didn't think the only bad thing was the load time (sorry, both contestants still had nice levels, but they need polish).

Ok, first of all, about Nan's comment and Harmless' judgings.

The theme was water, not underwater. I used innovating techiniques with water, and I think this counts too.

Like Nan, I have a lot of real life stuff, but I used ALL my free time and effort to make this level. If you were needing an extension, it would be fine if you asked for a longer one. But you asked only for three days. I think it would be sufficient, since you had the same deadline as me.

Also, @Harmless, as you said in your judgings, you only played the first challenge. So, even if you didn't had good experiences with the first challenge, you could at least play the others before "guessing" something about them.

Sorry if I'm being too rude or something, I don't want to sound like this. I'm only giving my opinion.

He only played one part of the level yet has the balls to imply you didn't deserve to win? If you can't play all of the level like you're entrusted to, you don't deserve to judge.

It's fine, there's actually a good reason I didn't ask for more extension...

When I first ran this place, one of the many failures we had is that sometimes the duelists just ignored the deadlines, or kept pushing them, and other things. And that was annoying. It was like there was no dueling at all...

So that's why I only asked for three more days. I didn't want to bother you. Maybe it wouldn't have, but... it's a thing of mine. If it would bother me, it would probably bother you and therefore I don't want to do that to you.

So yeah. You won, fair and square. I didn't make good use of my time. I gotta face it.

...that.
Some day I'll fix my sig.

My ♥♥♥♥ god. Now you're pissing me off.

I did NOT IMPLY HE DIDN'T DESERVE TO WIN. I'M JUST SHOCKED AT VEN'S HIGH SCORE. THAT. IS. ALL.

Oh, and as for not playing the entire level, I already mentioned I spent some good 15-20 minutes on the first stage before giving up. And then I couldn't find it until after my judging.

I might have a slight thing for overly complex and varied levels. I believe I rated a Metroid-inspired level by 1018peter (Biological Research Facility? I can't remember. For the science LDC, I think.) very highly as well, despite almost all other judges giving substantially lower ratings. Both were absolutely beautiful, both had multiple puzzles/missions, both had substantial loading time/lag issues, and both had a labyrinth-like "gamepath" that the player could complete more or less as he saw fit- skipping areas, coming back to them later after a sudden idea, and so on.

Maybe they try too hard to break free of the designer and become their own mini RPG of sorts, but I don't see any reason to punish that. Innovation is what powers the world, after all.

As for glitches and the like, I honestly didn't see any... only tricky level design.
