Yeah, we should probably have the roster expanded to like 40 or something. Also I don't see why Megar should move down or be removed at all, he's still a good designer.
Expect something cool here soon!

Well, at this point I guess it's time to have a poll. Do you want to separate the retirees from the actives or do you just want more people? Do you want to keep the potentials? (If you do, then 40 people in the tiers is too much as you should quickly see). Do you want to keep the minitiers? I definitely want to, simply because they differentiate the top designers in terms of their very special properties and strengths. (The Legacy minitier will become obsolete as soon as we introduce the honorary list, though).

And you can (and should) still do regular movements while the poll is running, based on my suggestions or whatever you think of.

Also OJ, it would be nice to put your fulltable into a spoiler, you've slightly scared me when I saw the very narrow scrollbar :>

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

If we separate the retirees into their own category, we can still keep top 30.

Or how about this: put all of the legendary, retired, or really good designers on a separate topic specifically for inspiration purposes like "You want to see some really good designers and their levels? Here's a list of some of the legends and whatnot." If that list becomes too big, you can just use spoilers. And then this list can be used to rank the current and active designers on here. Maybe that might work.

Okay so, I will be wanting to make official changes here soon.

What I like the ideas of doing are making an unnumbered category for old designers who deserve an honourable mention, keeping the potentials list, but scrapping the minitiers. Also putting everything in a beautiful table a la Oranj.
I know people may not like the idea of scrapping minitiers so for that reason I'm not going to do that straight away, I'd like to ideally get some votes in or see if there's an easier way to manage them.

That's just for organising the topic in general. As for the tier movements themselves, most of them are pretty much decided inside my head. I may move myself up to 2nd after all but that is only because Star is less active atm and I've just won an LDC. This is the only movement I want your guys to verify because I always feel guilty moving myself up.

And on an unrelated note, this topic is becoming so extensive that half the reason I'm asking for so much community input these days is because I can't do it all by myself anymore. So asking for everyone's ideas may become the way this topic works in the future.

I feel that it's OK to move yourself. That seems like a reasonable change.

It's all good. It's pretty much fact at this point that you're one of the better designers along with MoY, Veso, Nan, Mega, Triple J (when he was active anyways), Shroom, etc.

An absolute yes to you being second. I mean, you've just scored your highest result in, like, 20 participations

NOOOOOOOOuuuuuuuuu ...

I mean, I have some sort of understandings for you not liking to maintain them, but I still want others to give feedback on eventual movements and more accuracy first, regarding the suggestions I've made previously.

Slow down there cowboy. I could've expanded that list and included 30 more people on there but I decided to stop with you. :P

Right I have made appropriate edits to this topic now (I hope). Beware, there are a LOT of huge movements here, but it's because I wanted to finally move the active designers up so they weren't being clouded over by the inactive ones. So if you see you have moved up a lot further than you expected to, this will be the reason why.

I am comfortable with the list being this way. But I hope we have future LDCs to come so things can unfold and change around more.

I've also added a brief honourable mentions category, so far just for Zeb and L4, because sadly those were the two oldies I had to remove from the list completely.
