Day 1-3:The beginning

Day 1

I was spawn on a plain, the forest on my left and right side about 50 blocks away. And a desert in front of me. The mountains are placed far away on the edge of my vision. I couldn't find my bonus chest, so I quickly sprinted into the forest to get some wood. In there I found chicken, and lots of lakes. After I've cut down about 6 trees, I went out of my forest and started building my house at the edge of the huge desert. The 5 out of 6 trees I've cut down are birch trees, so I started to build the base of my house, and i ran out of wood. The second time while I explore the forest and cutting down trees, I found sheep, and got mutton and wool from them by killing it. Suddenly forgot I need a crafting table, put 4 wood planks(1 wood=4 wood planks) into the default space of the Inventory box, and open much more crafting options. Then it's afternoon. I put 3 wools on the top of the 3 wood planks in the crafting table to get bed, and use it to sleep inside my house base. So much for today, or else the monsters will spawn.

Today's achievements:
1. Open Inventory
Press E to open your inventory. That's it.
2. Getting Wood
Just cut down a tree. Simple.
3. Benchmarking
Create a crafting box as mentioned in the diary.

Today's result:
nothing really except a few mutton, a base of house, a bed and a crafting table.

Key words
Plain: technically called grass biome. This type of land spawns many grass plants and various types of flowers. Often animals spawn nearby.
Image
Desert: desert biome spawns huge sand plains and mountains often with high cactus concentration, and never rains, hot.
Image
Forest: Forest biome spawns high concentration of various types of trees.
Image
Mountain: technically called hill biome. This type of land often have snow coverage on top, with coal ores or water/lava exposed at the side.
Image
Chicken: a naturally spawn animal, can be lured with seeds, drops raw chicken and feathers when killed.
Image
Birch trees: a kind of tree which have slightly white color of wood planks.
Image
Bed: a crafted furniture to let you advance to the next day immediately by sleeping at night.
Image
Monsters: various dangerous creatures that spawns at low light places trying to kill you.
Image
Crafting Table: a 3x3 crafting space which opens many crafting options.
Image

Day 2

GROOOOOOOOOOOOOAN! gotta start my second day! ERROR: not enough wood. alright, just keep cutting trees that is all I need now.. when I reached a stack of wood, I quickly get back to my house base and have constructed the walls and the doors. Hmmm, I don't want to sleep on the sand, that's nasty. Betta dig the sand using the shovel. One wooden shovel was destroyed while digging my floor. Hey, why is this sand so tough?? probably a sandstone, use the pickaxe to mine it. After I've dig out the sandstone, a pair of eyes of spider stared at me. Then I was beginning to realize that I am building the house on the top of a cave, or maybe a cave system. That's frightening, well, don't worry, pause the game by pressing esc and change the difficulty to Peaceful. Now there will be no monsters spawn until I change the difficulty. :awe: Okay well just fill the ground with wood planks. Then the night falls. Although it's peaceful I still don't want to work at night. Zzz......

Today's achievements:
1. Time to mine!
Construct a pickaxe.

Today's result:
A house without celling or windows, and a couple of tools and wood.

Key words
stack: In Minecraft a stack means 64. But it's 16 for snowballs and eggs.
Image
Sand: a natrual block that spawns near water bodies or in desert biomes.
Image
Sandstone: a natrual block that spawns at 2-9 blocks below the natrual ground in desert biomes.
Image
door:
Image
You can use different kinds of wood to make the door look different.
Not only you can open doors by right clicking the door,
in the difficulty is hard, monsters like zombies and endermen can open the door, too.
But no one can manually open the iron door.
To make an iron door, change the wooden planks to iron ingots. Iron doors can be opened with redstone power(will mention in the later of the diary)
pickaxe:
Image
one of the 4 basic tools.
Pickaxes are constructed for mining. You can change the wooden planks on top to cobblestone, iron ingot, gold, or diamond to in(de- for golden tools)crease its duration, or number of uses. Same goes for other 3 basic tools which will be mentioned later.
The detailed duration list:
Wooden basic tools-60 times, pickaxes can mine stones and coal ores.
Stone basic tools-132 times, pickaxes can mine stones, coal ores and iron ores.
Iron basic tools-251 times, pickaxes can mine stones, coal ores, iron ores, gold ores, lapiz lazuli ores, diamond ores, redstone ores, and emerald ores.
Gold basic tools-33 times(expensive and useless one, isn't it?), pickaxes can mine same thing as iron basic tools.
Diamond basic tools-1562 times, pickaxes can mine stones, coal ores, iron ores, gold ores, lapiz lazuli ores, diamond ores, redstone ores, emerald ores, and obsidian.
Pickaxes can be used for attack. However you can only swing it per every about 0.833 seconds.
The detailed attack strength list for pickaxes:
wooden-2 stone-3 iron-4, gold-2(duh), diamond-5.
And by the way, if you misuse a tool, like use pickaxes for cutting down trees, it costs double or triple, even quadruple of its durability. So use it as a thumb rule: don't misuse the tools!
The more precious of the material you use to build the basic tools, the faster it can mine when using it, if you misuse it, the speed will be much slower.
shovel:
Image
Shovel are constructed for digging dirt, sand, gravels, clays and such things.
durability is same as mentioned above in the pickaxe description.
Detailed attack strength list for shovels:
wooden-2.5, stone-3.5, iron-4.5, gold-2.5, diamond-5.5
You can swing the shovel per every 1 second.
Cave: A dark place which spawns various monsters and minerals underground.
Image

Day 3

Okay let's see what else I can do.. Oh yes, the roof and windows, also the sword, hoe and the axe. First I made those tools, Then, I went to the forest and cut down even more trees, then filled my roof. For windows, I will need glass, which I need coal as fuel and sand will turn into glass in the furnace. For furnaces, I will need stones, but where to get them? definitely not the desert, so I have explored the plain. Ohh, there is a cave, a big one. And coal on the outside! great luck! XD after I've mined the coal and some stones(my pickaxe was destroyed :c ) and smelt the sand in the furnace, make some glass into glass panes, then the night fall. So tired after all these work... Zzz......

Glass:
Image
The product of smelting the sand in furnace. It's opaque in color and spiders cannot climb on it. It can be used to create glass bottles for enchanting, glass panes for windows, and many other stuffs related to decorations. The only bad thing is that when you placed it, you can not recollect it.
Furnace:
Image
Furnaces are useful craftings that can smelt ores, sand, and many other things as long as you have the fuel.
The fuel list:
any wooden things(even tools!) except wood block
coal and charcoal

Image
A common type of ore that can be found at almost any elevation except sky. Can be used as a fuel in the furnace or an important ingredient in torch recipes.

Day 4-10: Caves I

Day 4

Alright, well I finished my house, so I guess now I can explore the cave down there. Until I think I'm ready for farming endermen and creepers, I will keep the world "Peaceful". There are 2 pathways, I picked the left one and it was short, found some coal and iron ores at the Y value of 50-something(wow). The right side was much more complex, it had quite a few junctions, I picked the right side every time so I don't get lost. After I came out of the cave, it's already evening and I went to sleep after I started smelting these iron ores.(Wow, I must say that this desert is very rich in iron, I have found half a stack by going only 10 blocks underground. Let's hope that the desert is also rich in diamonds, or at least gold and redstone..)

Today's results:
yesterday's things plus nearly a stack of coal and about half a stack of iron ores. Also one more stone pickaxe.

Needs iron pickaxe or better to mine this ore.

Day 5

Aww, waiting for smelted iron ingots is boring... Well, let's gather some seeds for the farm in the future! Seeds can be gathered by destroying grass that's normally grown on the plain biomes, so let's cut grass! Although there's only about 1/8 chance to gather seeds, I still got a stack of them. And.. Fresh iron ingots!!!! Quickly make a pickaxe and 3 buckets, also a shear, and keep mining! I'm back to where I've ended the mining yesterday, and found a 3-side junction. I picked the left side and got back to where I started. I picked the front side and I saw a huuuuuuuuge pit of lava and water, about 40 blocks high, that's frightening, so only right side left, I explored another bit and was forced to go back to home because my inventory is full. Fortunately it's afternoon, so I don't have to work at night. Quickly organize my stuffs and sleep.

Day 6 and Day 7

Keep going down from the place I've stopped yesterday, while I'm finding my way to it, I suddenly found something strange--squids has spawn in a single water flow, just a tiny little current in the cave. Pretty strange, but the ink sac from them is more important, I killed a few of them, and moved on to the previous finish line of torches. I found even more iron ores, and even more coal, and finally, some gold ores. while I do that, I heard the sound of boiling lava, which is not good, I quickly prepared my buckets, and gathered some water in the cave. There are actually many water currents in this cave, so gathering them is not a problem. Anyways I came to the Y value of 15 with huge lava lakes beside me, and redstone ores almost everywhere. But suddenly got a feeling I need to get home, I sprinted out of the cave and saw it is.. noon?? It couldn't possibly be because I spent quite a long time getting to the 15Y layer.. Oh wait, I pressed F3 and saw.. it's day 7, so that makes sense. I spent the rest of the day gathering seeds, and Zzzzzz...... fells into a deep sleep.

Day 8

Alright, today I spent my day exploring the plain while waiting for smelted iron. I've got a decent supply of iron now, and a stack more just came in. Ohh, what's that? A swarm of sheep, hmm, I maybe can breed them later. Ohh, an another swarm of cow and horse, sadly I didn't have any wheat now.. For the rest of the day, I was cutting trees and got about 2 stacks of wood. So much for today, so yeah, Zzzz.... Wait, My Iron ores!! I made a full set of iron armor for me, then sleep.

Day 9 and Day 10

Really nothing much for these two days, but I spent these whole time trying to explore the whole cave. And I also tried for finding diamonds, but I failed. I didn't get a single diamond with using 3 iron pickaxes doing straight mining down in the Y layer of 12 :c and one of the reasons I failed is because there's surprise lava everywhere I do this. I run into unexpecetd lava lakes every time. God, this cave is literally rich in everything but diamonds. I've got a decent supply of lapis lazuli, redstone and iron. Also a good supply of gold. After I went out of cave, it's nighttime of the next day. And I slept after organizing my stuffs.

Today's achievements:

Needs an iron pickaxe or better to mine this ore.

Day 11-20: Exploration

Day 11

Since I'm done with the cave, I should probably go out and explore. I went to the other side of the plain and saw a savanna biome, and I found a few sugar canes. These crops are going to be useful. So I basically spent the day for finding sugar canes along the edges of the plain and savanna. And I found quite an amount of sugar canes for a day, about half a stack. After I came back, I quickly made a compass from iron and redstone, and a few papers from sugar canes, and combined them into a map. And I fell into a deep sleep......

Today's achievements:
None(T-T)

Today's results:
Add a few sugar canes and a map.
Key words:

Sugar canes:
Image
Sugar canes are a type of crop that can be found near water. They have plenty of uses, and can be replanted in your farm. Sugar canes are thirsty plants, make sure to place a bucket of water beside it when planting.

Compass:
Image
Compass is a tool that can either make into a map or used to pinpoint your spawn point. This tool can be a lifesaver for any explorers.

Map:
Image
Map is a tool that can show the surface area of nearby land. It doesn't show many things from the beginning, but you can zoom it out by adding more papers around it. You can do this for 4 times in total.

day 12-15

I've zoomed out the map, and the map shows only the desert, which makes me sad because I really wanted to explore the plain. So this huge chunk of the desert has literally nothing important according to map, except for a few lava lakes and mountains. Anyways who knows what's out there? so I run straight outside of my backdoor and runs straight across the huge desert. And after I've walked for about 250 blocks, I found a river, the nearby regions of forest, plain, and extreme hills. Most importantly, I found this:
OH MY GOD LOOK AT THIS!: show
Image

That's right. a pyramid. Well placed right on the edge of the river. Let's see what's inside! By the way, it took me the whole day to get here, I don't know why. Anyways, I know a little about the pyramid, is that they have a hidden room with treasures and traps under the floor. I dug the floor out and saw it. I don't want a sheer drop, so I dug my way to the bottom and saw a pressure plate and foun chests. Well I'm definitely going to remove the pressure plate because I know that's a trap. Wait! I almost forgot, I can collect FREE TNTs!!! Anyways, let's see what's in the chests.. Ohh, 3 saddles, 41 bones, 15 gold ingots, an apple, and a few strings. Not bad, huh? Well, when I came out, it's already sunrise, so I took a trip back to my base because my inventory is full. and I need to zoom out my map to see what's beyond the desert. Hopefully I have enough sugar canes...... I collected some more around the pyramid. Also, I might consider the pyramid as my secondary base. 8) So I got back to the pyramid, and I put 5 chests, a furnace, a bed, and a crafting table inside. That should be enough because I don't need to change anything. Well get started to explore the regions beyond the desert, I said it to myself. So I saw another cave, a bunch of sunflowers, a forest, and a extreme hills biome. I spent the day and next day to gather 5 stacks of wood. Then, I spent the day 15 to gather some snowballs on the top of the hill. After I got back to my primary base, it's midnight. So desperately need sleep now...... Zzz......

Today(s)'s achievements:
None(STILL?!)

Today(s)'s result:
Added a bunch of things, I can't even count......

Key words:
Pyramid:
Image
This image again...... Anyways, pyramids are rarely and only generated in desert biomes, they have deadly but easy-to-find traps, and a few rare treasures. They'd make a good base, honestly.

saddle:
Image
Saddles can be used on horses and pigs, so you can ride them. Saddles cannot be crafted though. Find them in dungeons, nether fortresses, monster spawners, strongholds, pyramids, ocean temples, jungle temples, or end cities. Take them home as a loot and enjoy your ride!

TNT:
Image
TNTs can blow up things when detonated. They are either deadly or useful. Use them carefully or else you'll suffer high damage, if it's not death.

Bones:
Image
Bones are dropped when you kill skeletons or wither skeletons. They can also be found in the treasure chests. Bones have a bunch of uses, They can tame wolves, and the bone meal made from bones can used for coloring in white and help plants to grow faster. Save those good common materials and use them to speed up your farm!

pressure plate:
Image
These things sends a redstone signal whenever anything steps on them. They are used for basic traps so many players get suspicious when they found them.

sunflower:
Image
sunflowers are only found in special sunflower plains-usually, they can used to be color in yellow. Dandelion is much easier to find and have the exact same use as the sunflower. However, sunflowers will make a nice addition if you are working in a garden.

snowball:
Image
These snowballs are gathered when you use shovel digging the snowy ground. They can be thrown for fun, or make 4 of them into a snow block. They are 16 per stack, so snowballs takes many inventory spaces. Turn them into snow blocks for a much more compact storage. Ender Dragons and blazes are vulnerable to snowball attacks for some reason, so use snowballs to fight them isn't a bad choice.

Day 16-20

Really nothing much for these days, I have collected EVEN MORE snowballs and wood, but I never realized how long i've been working just trying to get a full stack of snow blocks. Well, these days are effecient at least. I did SO MUCH work that I probably don't need to gather wood for the rest of the game XD

Today's achievements:
None

Today's results:
Add more snowballs and wood.

Key Words

Day 1-4: Begin the Adventure!

Day 1

I was spawn in a Mesa biome. Now this is one of the worst thing could happen in the early game. Mesa biome is dry and never spawns animals, so food could be a huge problem. Trees growth aren't much also. But, this biome can be explored later on, because it has rare blocks that you cannot find in anywhere else like red sand and clay. I randomly picked a direction and ran. I ran to the top of the Mesa, thankfully there are tree growth, so I bumped into one of the Mesa Plateau F, which is the only place that can have trees in Mesa. I quickly cut down one of the trees and cut all of the leaves. I got good luck, because I found an Apple. Now that's the first and only food for the rest of the day. I quickly made an axe and a crafting table, and I cut down one more tree. After that, I kept running, and found a plains biome. This makes me happy because there will probably be animals. I found a swarm of chicken, I killed a few, but I can't eat raw meat, because they have a chance to poison me. I also found a few sheep, I "sheared" them with my axe and got wool. I picked a place and started to construct my base. But, before I do that, I need charcoal to cook the meat I found. I ran to a nearby little forest and cut down a few trees. Hold on, a cave, right beneath me. I actually came across 3 ravines already when picking the place. Hmm, I can sure explore these later on. After I got to the "base" of my "base", I just realized that I didn't get any stone. I quickly dug down and harvested some stone, then made a furnace. Ohh no, it's nighttime, and my hunger bar is down to 2 points. I quickly crafted a bed and slept.

Today's achievements:
Open Inventory
open the inventory by pressing E.
getting wood
get a piece of wood.
Benchmarking
craft a crafting table.
Time to mine!
craft a pickaxe.

Today's results:
A base of my base, a bed, pieces of raw meat, a furnace and a crafting table, and some other miscellaneous things.

Key words
Note: Key words that are mentioned before are not being mentioned in later.

Mesa
Image
Mesa biomes has high concentration of red sand and clay. It's very dry and never spawns animals.

Ravine:
Image
Ravines are deep, erect caves that sometimes have lava at bottom, and are often connected with other cave systems. It sometimes can lead all the way from the surface to the bedrock.

Red sand:
Image
Red sand is a special type of sand that can only be found in the Mesa biomes.

Clay:
Image
Clay can be used as decorations, or can be cooked in furnace to become hardened clay, then it can be stained in any color to make even better decoration effects.

Day 2

When I got up, the first thing I did was to cook the wood in the furnace to turn it into charcoal, then I cooked the food inside the furnace. Phew, finally had something to eat. When I filled myself, I cut down more trees and keep constructing my base. I also crafted a sword, a hoe, and a shovel. in case you've missed it, I already crafted a axe and a pickaxe in the first day. After that, I killed more animals and gathered some flowers. I made a chest for extra storage. Then the night fell. Dude, why the night falls so fast? Anyways, I'm very lucky to have sheep around so I don't need to stay in my house for 10 minutes every night. Find sheep are an essential thing in the early game.

Today's achievements:
TIme to farm!
craft a hoe.
Time to strike!
craft a sword.

Today's results:
yesterday's things+30% of base, a chest, more food and wood, charcoal, and miscellaneous things.'

Key words
Chest:
Image
Chests can be crafted by using 8 wood planks for extra storage. They can save your inventory space so your inventory space doesn't fill with cruds you won't use every time you go out. Each chest saves 30 inventory spaces. 2 chests can be combined into a large chest.

Day 3
Today, I gathered more wood from a forest nearby, and there is a cave nearby and with coal and iron deposits exposed on the outside. I soon deforested that forest and went back to my house, and finished the building. I don't have enough oak wood, so I used birch for the roof. Before the night fell, I collected some sand and smelted into glass, and finished my window. Zzzzzz......

Day 4
I think now it is the time to upgrade my tools to iron. But, I dont want to go caving that early, so I guess.. I'll go to the iron I saw yesterday and collect it...
Hey! Where did those zombies come from?! Two of them?? I used the hit and run method to kill them and got rotten flesh. After I went down, a creeper rushed towards me. I attempted to kill that evil thing, but he exploded. I hear no more monsters after that. I mined the coal, iron, and some stone, then head back u- wait, more iron over there, now head back up. I smelted the 12 pieces of iron I got, and made myself a pick, a sword, and a pair of boots. Now I can sleep......

Today's achievements:
Acquire Hardware
smelt iron
Monster Hunter
Kill a monster

Today's results:
Final level 7, more coal and iron, maybe a little bit of stone.

Key words:
Zombies:

They may appear in variant forms such as zombie villagers, baby zombies, baby zombie villagers, and chicken jockeys.

Health:20 Attack damage:1-6 Attack range:melee Experience value:5

Day 5-12: Mining I

Day 5-9

I felt like I can get more iron go caving rather than creating a strip mine, and iron was more essential than diamonds to me at this point of game. So I went to the cave I encountered the creeper yesterday, and it had 2 sides. I went to the left side and it was even more expansive and had lots of iron deposits. Omg I am way to scared to die right now, I need to turn gamemode to peaceful. turns gamemode to peaceful. the cave went deeper and deeper and had even more junctions,
I even bumped into a vein of diamond. That's good news for day 5-9(forgot when exactly I got diamond XD). By the time I first came out from left side, I had a stack and half of iron, 4 stacks of coal, 5 diamonds, a few lapis and redstone, and even some gold. I put the ores into the chests and kept going on the other side. The other side was even more crazy than the left, it went down very quickly and was expansive down at layer 30 or so. I had to construct a temporary storage to store all the things I got,
I can get 2 stacks of iron and a few gold every time I return to my temporary base(I only did that twice in these days). Now I am bumping into a lava lake. No, a HUGE lava lake SYSTEM. I walked over it carefully, jumped over a stone block, and......

I respawned back at my home. GOSH DARN THE STONE ILLUSION, I can't even see the lava behind that stone. Now I lost a stack of iron and redstone. Great.

DEATH 1
Final level:19
Death cause:unexpected lava
Lived time total: 9 days
Resource loss: a stack of iron, 10 gold, 35 lapis, 64 redstone, 3 stacks of coal, all my tools and wood.

Today(s)'s achievements:
DIAMONDS!
Get diamonds.

Today(s)'s results:
Death, and more minerals.

Key words:
Lava lake:
Image
Caves with lava, often generates on layer 11, but can also generate on surface or occasionally cut off alone anywhere underground. Lava lakes are dangerous, but at the same time, it can be full of precious things if at layer 11.

Day 10-day 12

Luckily, I had some iron storage back at home, so I was able to fully recover the loss of tools and wood and get back to mining very quickly. This time I made myself full iron armor so that I can live longer if I fall into lava again, and a full set of iron tools. I got back to where the secondary base was and kept mining. By the time I was done with this cave, I had almost half a stack of gold and 4 stacks of iron, 4 stacks of coal, 2 stacks of redstone, 1 stack of lapis, and 3 more diamonds.I even found a dungeon in this cave, it was a zombie spawner. But it was too low for any sort of monster grinders. Layer 20. I got music discs, saddles, and even a name tag from this dungeon. So that was very lucky of me. And I recovered all the levels I've lost to the death.

Today(s)'s achievements:
None

Today(s)'s results:
Add more ores!!!!

Key words:
Dungeons:
Image
This is a small cobblestone room with a monster spawner and chests of loot in it. They often appear in impressive cave systems, or when you are extremely lucky strip mining on layers above 16. You can make XP grinders out of this if you have the inclination to do so. The monster spawners inside cannot be collected even with silk touch.

My level judgement is very harsh.

A level, just like a person, is Never perfect.

Every time you have more of an item, that item becomes less valuable.
