Since everyone is in fear of 2012, they will all hide in their houses, saying their last good-byes and such, while others come in and raid such belongings that they have. After a while, people start realizing the world is not going to crash and burn, and will move on with their lives. Several years later, after many false fears, humans will become lax, and when something really apocalyptic comes, we will not be prepared, and will screw ourselves over.

This is Y2K all over again people.

There were many times in the world, when the world was sapposed to end. I think that I have the perfect time on the Earth because we are technologically advanced, but we screwed ourselves by being to dependent. I'm sure that by 3000 the world would be so bad and recourses would be so low that we will cause an apocalypse ourselves.
