Mah current project thusly dubbed "Project Blackout". (no not the actual title... well probably)

Project Blackout basic overview: show

My name is Jack, or so I've been told. I woke up with the worst case of amnesia one morning, falsely accused of a crime I didn't commit, or... did I? Everything seemed to crumble around me as I try to find out where I am, who I was, and what I am doing here. My life was being destroyed and I was to confused to figure out why, that is until "she" came along. She claims that I worked with her in a secret elite organization known only as "Hex". I don't know if this is true or not but it beats my old jail cell, and explains why I could always win at chess, when we were allowed to play it, among my other various skills. The operations that my Alpha team execute would be known as the hardcore, front-line operations. We don't usually get very close as we are always replacing dead members with new ones. The only official building the organization has is the HQ that no one knows where is, we get orders we execute them and we go home. Home is whatever city we're in at the time we each get separate apartment buildings so has to not attract attention.

After I was with my team for several months things began to... change. I met a man that gave me doubts about the organization's goal, and who I was. I'm not quit sure what to do now. Going rouge might just land me back in jail but staying with the unit could result in some very bad things happening.

Do note that this is a basic overview, if I ever actually make it, it will be much more in depth. like have at least one chapter just about him in prison. and also that nothing here is finalized, like his name, and why I called the women "she".

also I have another project dubbed "Project G" but I don't have anything worth presenting yet

.......Thing is, it's drifted so far from the Neopet base, that now it's a mix of Neopets, Earth, Norse myths, galactic creatures, gods, demons, assassins........It's f**king epic, to put it blunt.

Another Idea I have is kinda a classic RPGish story. So far what i have for it is just a guy returning from a fetch quest and discovering a "haunted" tower in the middle of his town. etc. etc. Save princess. blah blah blah. Epic plot twist. dudududu epic ending battle. Fin.

It was a really special day for me...And two of my friends too.
I could say the day was...Meh. Was like any other day when I'd hang out with my friends in my house.
It was 6:30 PM. It was already pretty dark at that point. We were all sitting on the floor of my house's balcony, except me. I was looking at the sky for no real reason. Then I saw a thunder. No sound, though.

"Y'know, each day I keep asking myself what's going on with these thunders. I hear nothing, and it's not raining, but I still see them."

"Possibly the Thunder gods are fighting but we can't see them..."

"Geez. Garcia, you're always with your pointless conclusions." "Anyways, I wonder when Black and White will be on stores."

"...Eduardo, you know we don't care about Pokémon."

"What about it, Andrea? It's my opinion."

A small argument started between the two, but it was interrupted by a thunder that actually had sound.

Eduardo stared at the sky. "Well, that one did sound..." Andrea and Garcia stood up from the floor and looked at the sky, too.

If I recall correctly, the next thing we saw was a giant flaming whirlpool swirling vertically trough the sky...Eventually, it took shape of a tornado and then...It just vanished in thin air.
We all were shocked. Especially me. I though "Thunder and fire...Could it be Zekrom and Reshiram? ...Of course not. Pokémon don't exist in real life, after all."

However, this was not all of that true...

A giant thunder and a wall of fire struck the floor at the outside-bottom of the tower, just in front of us. We somehow got launched into the floor of the balcony...I didn't get why. I didn't get why the thunder struck there on first place. My tower has a lighting rod. I still stood up.

I was amazed. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

The spirits of Reshiram and Zekrom. How did I know they were spirits? Well, they were transparent, and floating and...And...Oh shut up Dennis...Anyways...

"Reshiram and Zekrom?!" I yelled out loud in shock. "Are you guys able to see what I'm seeing?"

"A weird white monster with wings and a black robot monster with wings too?" Replied Andrea.

"I see the same as Andrea." Said Garcia. "But...Reshiram? Zekrom? What the heck are you talking about?"

I stared at both of them. "If you'd actually play Pokémon and check internet sites more often, you'd know, but I'll explain you."

"Legendary Pokémon. They're powerful, cool and awesome. Reshiram and Zekrom are no exception at all. Being main legends from the Unova region, they're part of the Tao trio, sometimes called the energy trio. It's the collective term used to refer to the three powerful legendary Pokémon of the Unova Region: Reshiram, Zekrom, and...Um...What was the last one? Not sure. But I'm sure it's Ice-type. According to Unova myths, the trio were created during the war plaguing the region."

"Myths? War? I think we're missing something around here."

"Geez, Andrea. Lemme explain.

The mythologies of the trio are different yet somehow connected. The origins of Zekrom and Reshiram are told in legends, as they were once a single powerful Dragon Pokémon used by two brothers ruling the nation. However, the brothers' rule caused great conflicts as they fought over how best to rule the nation and, due to the fighting, the dragon was split into two separate Pokémon. Each dragon resided with its respective master, Reshiram with the older brother and Zekrom with the younger brother, and they decided to fight in an endless battle. It was foretold that they would fight until the region of Unova was destroyed. To stop the battle, the people decided to put both dragons into a deep sleep.

The Ice-type's origins are much different than those of the other two. The third dragon came down to Earth from an icy meteor and crashed into a place called Giant Hole. An old legend in a certain town describing that Pokémon claims that it would take people and Pokémon away from the town and eat them; this is why the town is now surrounded by a giant wall. Another claim is that it's the corpse of the original Dragon Pokémon after it got split into Reshiram and Zekrom...Wait. Why the heck are you guys sleeping?!"

Garcia woke up and stood up. "Damn. You bored us to death. Sum it up...Andrea, wake up."

"...Huh?"

"Okay. To sum it up, Reshiram and Zekrom are Legendary Pokémon."

ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAR!

"Damn! Reshiram, Zekrom we're right here! No need to roar!"

"...You three. You three are the chosen ones."

Andrea was shocked. "D-d-did Reshiram just...Talk?"

I was surprised, but not because of Reshiram talking. "Telepathy. Certain Pokémon can use telepathy to talk...But, what's with that chosen one thing?"

"Chosen...Chosen to save the Unova region from doom..."

"Doom?"

"No time to explain...You have to go with us. While you're away from this dimension, time will not elapse...Your family will not know what happened. "

Garcia and Andrea both stared at me, like if they were asking if it was true.

"Guys, a Legendary Pokémon's power is... Powerful. Being able to make volcanoes erupt, control weather, represent emotions, grant wishes, cause nightmares, cure nightmares...Heck, even control time, space and antimatter! Point is, we should believe them."

"...Fine." They both said at the same time.

With a smile on my face, I asked "So...How do we go to Unova?"

"..."

We were all surrounded by a portal that sucked us in.

After a long time floating on it, we finally reached the Unova region.

That's when our adventure started...

Prologue
"Hello. My name is Lan Hikari. I'm a major scientist at SciLab, the technological center around here. Every day, I've been trying to improve our knowledge about computers. But, let me tell you a little bit about myself so you'll understand me better. A couple of years ago, I foiled the plans of WWW a couple of times, and also saved the world from sure destruction. It's all thanks to my Net Navi (InterNET NAVIgator), Megaman. He was a gift on my tenth birthday, and I've been building my bond with him ever since. Would you believe Megaman is actually my older brother? Well, that's partly true. My brother, Hub, died of a major disease, and my father, Yuichiro, took some of Hub's DNA and created Megaman. He's helped me out lots of times, but I think it's time to hand him down to my son, Patch. I've asked Megaman and he's agreed with me, so tonight I'm going to surprise him."

Chapter 1: Virus Busting
Later that day, when Lan got home, he walked into Patch's room. "Patch, I have something to tell you. Remember when I told you all those stories about me and Megaman?" he asked. "Yeah, Dad. I remember," Patch replied, without taking his eyes off the video game he was playing. "Well, I think it's time you had some experiences like that," Lan said, and reached into his pocket. He brought out a PET (PErsonal Terminal), and handed it to Patch. "Here. This is yours. Take good care of them," Lan said, and then left the room. "'Them'? What do you mean them?" Patch asked. He had paused the video game and was examining the PET. "Where's the power button on this thing?" he asked himself. Then, he found it and pressed it.
"Surprise!" said Megaman as he came up on the screen. "Wha?! Megaman?! But-" "Patch, listen," Megaman interrupted, "Your father and I decided it was time you had some exciting experiences like Lan had. But, you won't have those experiences with a normal, off-the-shelf Navi. So, we decided it was time that we met each other, and work together." "Really?! Cool! So... how does this work?" Patch asked. Megaman slapped his forehead, and said, "Lan never told you?" "Um... oh, yeah! I think he did!" Patch replied. He aimed the Infrared light at his computer, and touched the "Jack in" button on the PET. At the same time, he yelled, "Jack-in! Megaman, Execute!" The Infrared light flashed, and the screen of the PET changed from the PET's CS (Cyber Space - The space that's inside an electronic device) to Megaman on the Net (InterNET).
Meanwhile, Lan sat on the couch, talking to Mayl, his wife. About that time, he heard Patch yell out, "Jack-in! Megaman, Execute!" and said to Mayl, "He actually listened to me when I explained about the PET. It didn't seem to me like he was listening, but he was, since I just heard him yell out what I told him I did." "It's great to know he listens to you, Lan," Mayl replied. At the time, she was fixing dinner. "Yep. I just hope he listened to everything I said, so he knows what to do when on the Net," Lan said. "If not, he can figure it out. It's simple, really," Mayl replied. She set down her dinner, and reached into her pocket for her PET. She aimed it at a nearby mirror, and said, "Plug-in! Roll, Transmit!". Lan looked at her strangely. "What? I like saying that. I like the older sayings better," Mayl said. "Whatever," Lan said, and turned on the television.
Megaman jacked into {Patch's PC}. "Uh-oh, Patch! Viruses!" Megaman said when he jacked in. "Let's bust 'em!" Patch said. Suddenly, Roll jacked in. "Roll?!" Megaman said, surprised, "How'd you get here?!" "Mayl jacked me in from downstairs using the mirrors," Roll replied. "How does that work?" Patch said. "I'll tell you later. But right now, you need to deal with these viruses!" Roll said. "Right!" replied Megaman, and he turned his attention toward the viruses. "Patch! Switch to Virus Busting mode!" Roll said. "How?" Patch asked. "Don't you see the "VB Mode" option on the PET?" Roll asked. "Yeah. I should touch that?" Patch asked. "Yes," Roll replied. Patch touched that option and a menu popped up. "Whoa!" Patch said, "Megaman, you're not in my PC anymore!" "Well, yes and no. But don't worry about that right now! Just send me some battlechips!" Megaman replied. "Ok," Patch replied.
"Patch!" "Huh?" Patch turned around to see his mom standing behind him. "Mom?!" "I'm here to make sure you remember how to bust viruses," Mayl replied. "Wait, how'd you know that I was battling viruses?" Patch replied. "Patch! Hurry up with those battlechips, please!" Megaman said. "Sorry, Megaman! Coming right up!" Patch said, and he looked down at the PET. "Let's see... there's several battlechips here," Patch said. "Right. Move the cursor over the battlechips using the Control Pad. Then, above the battlechips, the battlechip's information is displayed; namely, it's attack power, type, and name," Mayl explained. "Ok. How about two [Cannon]s?" Patch asked. "That's be good for now," Mayl replied, "Press the 'A' Button to select them
-BATTLE START- *MettaurA, MettaurB* Megaman fired [Cannon]A! MettaurA deleted! MettaurB attacks! Megaman dodged quickly! "Now what happens after you've used all your Battlechips you've selected and the virus(es) aren't dead?" Mayl asked. "I remember! That bar at the top of the screen! When it fills up, I can touch it and I can select more chips!" Patch said, pointing. "Right! But you haven't used up all your chips yet, so keep on going," Mayl said. Megaman fired [Cannon]B! MettaurB deleted! -ENEMY DELETED- "Cool, Patch!" Mayl said. "There's more, Patch!" Megaman said.
"Patch, let's use a support chip! Select [Area Grab] and then [Wide Sword]!" Megaman said. "But I thought you can only select chips of the same type," Patch replied. "Patch, look," Mayl said, "[Area Grab] and [Wide Sword] are the same chip code. You can select different chips together if they have the same code." "Oh, right! I forgot about that!" Patch replied. -BATTLE START- *MettaurA, MettaurB, MettaurC* Megaman used [Area Grab]! Part of the viruses' area is now Megaman's! MettaurA attacks! Megaman 90/100. MettaurB attacks! Megaman 80/100. Megaman used [Wide Sword]! MettaurA & MettaurB deleted! -ENEMY DELETED-
"Patch, do you remember about Counter and FullSynchro?" Megaman asked. "No," Patch replied. "If I attack at the right moment, the enemy will freeze for that turn and we'll be in FullSynchro. It really just depends on when I attack. Or, if we get a couple of power attacks in, we'll go into FS. In FS, chip attacks do double damage, however, if I am hit by an attack, you take damage too. If you take too much damage, you'll faint and I won't be able to use battlechips; since you can't send them until you wake up. The only way for me to jack out is to go back to where I jacked in. To cancel out of FullSynchro, touch the 'Cancel' option." Megaman explained. "Long explanation, but ok," Patch said. -BATTLE START- *MettaurA, MettaurB, MettaurC* Megaman used [Cannon]A! Power hit! MettaurA deleted! MettaurB attacks! Megaman 70/100. MettaurC attacks! Megaman dodged quickly! MettaurB attacks! Megaman quickly uses [Air Shot]A! Counter! MettaurC attacks! "Awesome, Patch!" congratulated Megaman, "but remember. My HP is full restored when I jack out, but to restore your HP you have to eat or drink something, or go to sleep, ok?" "Alright, I'll remember that! Jack-out!" Patch replied. "Roger!" Megaman said, and he jacked out. BEEP-BEEP! "Patch, you have email! It says 'Attention residents of ACDC Town! If you wish to prove your NetBattling skills, come to the park ASAP! There will be a special prize given to the winner!' Well, Patch, do you want to go?" Megaman asked. "Sure, if you're ok with it," Patch answered. "Sure! Let's go!" Megaman said.

Chapter 2: The NetBattler Test
Patch told his mom and dad about the email, and they said he could go. He headed to the park and said that he wanted to participate. "Ok. What's your name?" the man in charge asked. "I'm Patch Hikari," Patch replied. "Alright. Call me Dr. C, Patch," the man said, "and now your test. The special prize is a special passcode that will allow you to get past the security in {ACDC Area 1} so you can go into {ACDC Area 2}." "Cool! Now what do I have to do?" Patch asked. "There is a NetNavi in a CS here in town. I want you to find and delete that Navi. His name is Bombman, so you should look for something associated with bombs," Dr. C said. "Ok!" Patch replied. "Bring me back the data you get after you beat him, please," Dr. C said. "Alright," Patch responded, and he headed off in search of Bombman. "Hmm... something associated with bombs..." Suddenly, Patch almost tripped over a timer that was counting down. "Hey, don't some bombs have timers on them?" Patch asked Megaman. "Yup, some do," Megaman replied. Patch checked for a spot to jack in, and the only thing he found was some kind of jack. "I can't jack into this thing," Patch replied. "Yes you can. Go ask your dad if he has a jack-in cord," Megaman replied. "Ok," Patch answered. He headed back to his house.
"Dad, do you have a jack-in cord?" Patch asked. "Probably. Let me check," Lan replied. He came back about a minute later with a cord that was wrapped up. "Here you go, Patch," Lan said. Patch got [JackInCord]! "Thanks, Dad!" Patch said, and hurried out the door. Patch plugged the [JackInCord] into a jack on the side of the PET, and then into the timer. "Jack-In! Megaman, Execute!" Megaman jacked into {Timer CS 1}. "Whoa, this place is different," Patch said, being able to see the area on the PET's screen. "Yep. But it's simpler too. Send me battlechip data, and I'll use it right away to try and delete some viruses," Megaman said. After a while of jumping up and down platforms and deleting viruses, Megaman entered into {Timer CS 2}. After fighting through this area, Megaman saw Bombman. "So, you're here," Bombman replied. "Let's battle, Bombman!" Megaman said.
-BATTLE START- *Bombman* Megaman used [Cannon]A! Bombman 160/200. Bombman attacks! Megaman 90/100. Megaman used [Cannon]B! Bombman 120/200. Bombman threw a bomb at Megaman! Megaman dodged quickly! Megaman used [Air Shot]A! Bombman 100/200. Bombman threw a bomb at Megaman! Megaman 60/100. MegaM used [Air Shot]B! Power hit! Bombman 60/100. Bombman attacks! Megaman 50/100. Megaman used [Area Grab]! Part of Bombman's area is now Megaman's! Bombman attacks! Megaman 40/100. Megaman used [Sword]! -ENEMY DELETED- Reward: 1000z (z = Zenny = Money)
Megaman got [BombM Data]! "Great, Megaman! Jack out!" Patch said. "Roger!" Megaman said. Patch went back to Dr. C and gave him the [BombM Data]. "Splendid! You beat Bombman! Here's your reward!" Dr. C said. Patch got [ACDC2 Code]! "Thanks, Dr. C!" Patch said, and he walked off. He went to his computer and jacked into it.

Chapter 3: A New Friend
Megaman went into {ACDC Area 1}. Megaman got, in total, 500z from virus battles and from mystery data that was on side paths that branched off of the main path and then got to the security cube that blocked access to {ACDC Area 2}. Megaman used [ACDC2 Code]! The security cube disappeared! Megaman entered {ACDC Area 2}. BEEP-BEEP! "Patch, you've got mail!" Megaman said. Patch read the email. "Hello Patch, I'm your neighbor. My name is Emily, and I would like to meet you. Please take this and visit my homepage. -Your neighbor, Emily" Patch got [Emily Code]! "Wow, a neighbor! Let's go visit!" Patch said. "Didn't she say to visit her HP?" Megaman said. "Oh, right. Where is it?" Patch wondered aloud. "Dunno. Let's find it," Megaman replied. "Ok!" Patch said. ~More coming soon~

Rebecca Smart is your average overachiever, working hard for her future while maintaining a clumsy social life. Her one best friend in life is Jessica Lawrence, a social butterfly who charms everyone.

One night Jessica encourages Rebecca to go to a party with her, which she reluctantly accepts. On the way over, as they cross a deserted bridge to get there, Jessica throws Rebecca over the bridge to her death.

Rebecca is now a ghost.

But she is not alone.

She runs into several other ghosts- 17 year old John, who was killed in a car accident, 59 year old Mariel, who died of cancer before she could settle troubling family matters, and 9 year old Ella, who does not remember how she got there or even aware of the fact that she is a ghost now. These live with many other ghosts in an apartment complex with humans who are unaware of their existence.

Rebecca has a lot of things to figure out-how to adjust to being a ghost, coping with the loss of her future and life, finding out why Jennifer killed her, and most important, what's next.
