No sooner do the Mario Bros. get off the train than they run into Wart, who appears to be planning a hostile takeover of whatever region the Mario Bros. wound up in when Kamek warped them to that random kitchen. And in a rare display of smarts, he was smuggling herbicides into his lair in order to use them to kill all the vegetables in the land, in order to prevent them from being used against him. And the Mario Bros. just destroyed those herbicides. And Wart is NOT happy about this… And this is where I REALLY wish that it was possible to design boss fights in this game. I mean, seriously, what could be cooler than a rematch with Wart from Super Mario Bros. 2?!? Grrr… I know I’m not gonna do that frog justice, but hopefully what this level will throw at you is a good enough approximation of his fighting style. (For instance, this level's dimensions are exactly twice as large as the room you fight Wart in in "Super Mario Bros. 2". Seriously, I went to the boss fight and went to the trouble of counting the blocks the room consisted of, with Wart firing at me the whole time. Then I went and designed this level with the exact same dimensions - even creating a little stack of bricks 4 high and 3 wide to represent Wart himself - and then doubled everything's size, because the Mario Bros. are supposed to be PUNY during the events of "Super Luigi Bros. 2". Now, if only I could have used "Super Mario Bros. 2"'s final boss music...)
