Ties in the LDC and AC events are extremely unlikely but this is what we had in mind for the points anyway.

Holy hell, guys. I am actively crying right now. I think we should have made the art contest last, because there is so much pure and powerful awesome running around in those subforums I can barely believe it. I will admit to having read the entirety of each subforum, though I promise to not reveal anything. What I do want to say is that I have never been prouder to be a part of something, nor more awestruck at the beauty of humanity at its best. Even in it's formative stages, I know that judging this contest will be one of the hardest things I will ever do, because I see you all really reaching to fulfill your greatest potential, and that is the truest test of the Olympics. To not just test ourselves, but test ourselves at our best.

I want to tell you guys, that you have already proven yourselves Olympians in the truest and original sense. Reach. Fight. Prove to yourselves, much less all of us, how great each of us can be.

I cannot wait to see the results.

I'm happy to do what I can, and I'm sure I can speak for everyone participating in these events the same.

Thank you, FF.

Nan's sig! From the previous Secret Santa event!: show
Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

As beautiful as this sounds... I can't help but feel you're over-reacting, it's not like we're discovering the cure to cancer or anything :P

But I appreciate your words, of course.

In a world where, on the whole, misery is only occasionally relieved by mediocrity, the fact that all of you are pushing yourselves in your respective arts, and even stretching a bit to try things you haven't tried before, is exemplary. Just because a golden nugget is small, doesn't mean that it isn't gold.

Has everyone heard of the Adobe Flash Player hacked? If it's hacked how are we going to the SM63 LDC?

I did a quick search to see what you may mean... it seems that there were some security errors in the Firefox version of Flash that were found out by Hacking Team, a security firm. As far as I'm aware they have updated Flash so that this error is fixed. I may be mistaken.

Either way, there's always the offline Level Designer if it's needed. Check out the link at the bottom of the page that says Download EXE.
