Looking at the teams, I'm fairly sure there's at least one person in each team with access to online Smash U (Yellow Team is the only one I'm unsure of - if anyone can confirm that for me, that'd be cool) so that seems like a good idea.

For the CAH event, are you just going to stick with 5 players (1 player per team)? I feel like it might be more fun if we do dual entries with 10 players (2 per team, obviously). But I guess that would probably complicate scoring.

Also, for the gaming tournament, since there are now 10 players instead of 8, how will the matchups work? Randomly selected duels for the first round, but then there are 5 players for the second round. Then if you leave one out, the third round will have 3 players. And then the fourth round will finally be the championship with 2 players, but people will have had to sit out twice before. (Various scenarios: if we just do five duels right away in the first round, it'd be 10 --> 4+1 --> 2+1 --> 2; or if one duel is saved until the second round, 8+2-->6-->2+1-->2; or if it's saved until the third... 8+2-->4+2-->4-->2. Third looks cleanest, but means that the extras still have to sit out two rounds.) With only 8 total, it'd be a simple 8 --> 4 --> 2. Just thought I'd bring that up so we can figure out how to work it out beforehand.

Actually it's very different.

The 10 members will be separated in two groups of 5, each group receives one of the two representatives from each team. Then each group will go through, yes, but a Robin-Round one: Every member will go against each of the 4 remaining members of each group in 1v1 duels about various gaming challenges, regardless of the outcome of each duel.

That allows us to rank the 5 members of each group, and we will give points to each according to their performance. Finally, the team's final score will be the sum of the points the two representatives will have each received.

I don't know if it is clearer, but to summarize, it won't be a standard championship where the winner advance. That obviously wouldn't work.

--

Two representatives for the Cards against humanity event could allow exploits: one team member could choose their partner's card everytime by telling them over Skype or chat or something which one it is. I actually considered that before.

Ooh, okay. That makes more sense now. I was just thrown off by the description, which seemed like you were going for a conventional tournament style of play.
Each team will select 2 team members to enter a tournament! Each match will consist of a duel in a classic video game where the two participants have to be at the best at completing a certain objective! The winner of the duel moves up and attempts to become the best gamer of the tournament!

And I guess that makes sense for CAH. Are the people who aren't playing still allowed to spectate the game? :3333

Gaming Tournament, and now it's also discussed if Cards Against Humanity will be played with 2 people per team

Nan's sig! From the previous Secret Santa event!: show
Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.
