==SECOND WAVE==NANYou hastily made your way back to the foyer and grabbed the candle. At your current state, you wouldn't want to risk engaging in Close Quarter Combat with the vampire, so you instead threw the candle before Saul, setting the rug before him on fire. He stepped back and looked around.
This won't do. He shook his head and said.
I don't know your name, but we'll meet again. Until then, have a nice year! He suddenly turned into a bat and fled from the windows.
MAGGY...but the skeletons were already crushed beneath the water tower. You took a defensive stance instead, and watched Megar try to get you two out of this mess.
FREDERICKThe explosive shell landed directly into the fiend's head and blasted it apart, causing a massive bang. The flames that were kept in the lantern head exploded and scorched the riot police zombies into ashes.
KARYETEYour scythe sank into the emerald, cracking it. And then...light flashed out of the cracks, covering the area within its luster, blinding the orcs, the Lich King, and you, briefly. Three seconds...felt like eternity...but...
The emerald exploded, severely piercing your body with its shards and knocking you down on the floor with its explosion. You tried to open your eyes again. The energy accumulated in the emerald seemed to have flowed back into the Lich King's hand.
No...NO! I WON'T tolerate this! He chopped right arm off with his left hand in an attempt to stop the energy from overwhelming him. The right arm fell on the floor and quickly evaporated along with the remainder of the scepter due to the energy.
Daybreak...is near. Your name... His eyes suddenly flashed.
I see...Karyete. I'll be back for your head. Retreat!MEGARYou tried to evaporate the water with the heat radiating from your sword, but you soon realized how ineffective it is when dealing with water in large quantity. You decided to cut down the top of the poles and knock them away to render them harmless instead. The poles weren't falling fast enough, so you were able to take your time and knock them away. You went around the poles, flailing your sword around to make the fire seem intimidating. You could see faint outlines starting to appear in the air, along with the wind. That explains why there was a gust of wind that threw you up. You taunted the ghosts, and suddenly, the wind became clean and natural. Perhaps, they agreed with you. Or maybe, they had just left...
ALL - DAYBREAKYou see the sun slowly rising from the horizon. Its gentle light released you from the darkness that shrouded you. The Lich King returned to the underworld by summoning a portal right beneath him. The orcs, the vampires, and some ghosts followed him, too. The unfortunate zombies and skeletons were not able to retreat in time and were turned into ash upon basking in sunlight. Ambulances and firetrucks roamed over the streets, picking up casualties and putting out the fire caused by the Lich King's meteor shower.
...
What about the necromancer? Some say he left for the underworld, others say he's still lurking about in Runouw City, and still others say he had simply left the city limit when he realized the campaign's descend into failure. But one thing's for sure, as long as he lives, the Lich King may return with vengeance...
