XD That is the best result of LDCs: Learning new things the Designer can do, as people try to be clever!

It's pretty easy to enable the Delta, I recall my first level had no music so when I was making I tried finding how to add the music,then I found the Delta.

By the way, 4th place ribbons have been given out in both the 26th LDC and the 2nd LLLDC, which had less entrants than this one. So, despite the Medal page saying something else, it would be nice to give a 4th place ribbon also in this one. (the medal page thing seems to be outdated anyways)

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

I have two judges, sorry, best I could do, but both BY and I have now finished judging all the entrants. And, can I say, this has been a remarkable contest. Several of these levels just blew me away, and BY agreed. There was some serious creativity going on here, and the new members shined quite brightly indeed. If we keep this quality of design up, LL will officially wrest the crown from SM63 as the place to be for Level Design.

At any rate, here we go!




In 8th place, with 9.625 points,

Seriously, good show, sir. This was last place mostly because it was a really tough competition. In a bigger contest, you'd be middle of the field easily, and you certainly show enough promise to be getting some wins quite soon. Keep up the good work.



In 7th place, with 11.5 points,

A good effort, man. A great level in the making, with some difficulty balancing and some variety, but falls just short of the mark this time.



In 6th place, with 12.625 points,

Sling pod galaxy by Bowser2007

For an experimental and mostly unfinished level, your idea was good enough to impress. We wanna see it finished now!



In 5th place, with 13 points,

The Green Curse by Supershroom

You're getting good sir, but you need to find your own something special, and figure out how to express that in your levels. Otherwise, a really solid effort.



In 4th place, with 14.625 points,

This level had that something special, for sure, but a final battle glitch knocked it down a couple notches. Sorry, man.

That's right people. This was a phenomenally impressive level, and blew both me and BY away. Excellent job, sir.

I'd actually like to have a few words, and I think it's better off in it's own post after my lovely reaction.

The first thing I want to do is thank Doram and Sk (despite his vanishing) for organizing all this in the first place. I imagine it was a hard job (what with impatience from the likes of me!) and I really cannot thank you enough for putting all this together for us.
I also want to thank the other teams for giving us such a hard time and a good fight: for a while, I was honestly unsure if we'd win or not and everyone was a good sport. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for everyone coming together to compete and I really have to thank you for participating so we could all have a grand time.

And of course, I want to thank Team Dark. Man, that was a tough ride, wasn't it? But it was all worthwhile in the end. To all of you - Nan, Karyete, Amp, Peter, Brawler and Dragoon - it's thanks to all of you that we could together get this far. And like I've said to the rest - thank you. Truly.

...and I'd also like to apologize, actually. Back during the LL contest, it's clear that I was being a bit of a prick with the deadline. I want to apologize to Team Magma and the Red Team, because it was me alone that made you lose points in the LL contest. I hope you can forgive that judgement.

That's all I have to say, really. Once again, my thanks. It's been a great ride, but now it's time to kick back and relax as normal.

(and yes I realize this is the LL results but we already know the final results
probably should have saved it until the post though lmao)

Okay I was really not expecting this score. I'm pretty disappointed even because I did my best (or at least I tried) on bug-fixing and I didn't see anything other than that. I guess Team Dark and Crystal Clods deserved it more though, for their levels were really good. As for me though... Maybe just try to work less on something that's going to suck.
