Get Things Off of Your Chest

I guess this can be sort of a spin-off to the "Things that you want to say" but on a more serious matter.

So basically, just say whatever the heck is bothering you. Whatever is on your mind concerning you, just get it out of your system. Maybe it'll make you feel better.


With that being said, let's try to be considerate of others while we're addressing our concerns here.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

How does failure drive people to do better? It makes no sense. It's embarrassing for me, and I don't want to put up with it. It shows I'm bad, and I don't want to do something I'm bad at. Failure doesn't really motivate me at all; it just drives me away.

Sigh...Anyway...

Interesting. I've always thought that capitalism was one of those types of economies that were actually good, but I guess not everyone likes it or has to like it.

I can understand that, but I still hate dealing with the embarrassment. Plus most of the time, I don't learn from failure or maybe I can't. I don't know.

It has its flaws, primarily the worthless currency, the monopolies, and that the only means of survival is to have money.

To be fair, without a standardized currency we're practically going backwards on history and ignoring the progress countries like the Greeks made with their own set of currencies (drachma I think it was called?). Standardized currencies help people measure things in worth easier (though prices can always be influenced which really bothers me).

I feel like the problem is not "everyone needs money to live" but rather "not everyone has access to a job, which allows them to have access to money, which allows them to live easier". There's plenty of homeless people that are more than willing to learn/are potentially qualified for jobs, but they can't get reached out to unless a charity organization helps them or something.
