Hurray for having too much work on the holidays and not enough time to go with either plan A or plan B and also being kinda late
here's some piece of garbage I just conjured up that is definitely not my norm and definitely not as high quality but screw it here we go

"Home" for Christmas: show
December 1.

I met someone new today. He said he wants to help me.
He has a spare bedroom, so I'm going to stay at his place for now.
I just need to get through winter.

December 5.

I got to meet some of his friends today. They're okay.
I don't feel like I belong.

December 10.

He keeps talking about Christmas and presents. I enjoy listening to him.
He has a relaxing voice.

December 13.

He said he bought me a present for Christmas.
I don't have money, so I can't give him presents.
I need to find a job.

December 16.

Today I told him stories of when I was a little girl at his request.
He hung on every word I said.
...It was a little embarrassing.

December 20.

He's been playing Christmas songs all day.
I feel happy.

December 25.

We opened gifts today.
I got a brand new coat. It's long and dark, almost like a dress.
I gave him a hand-made card. I hope he likes it.

December 26.

Today he asked what my plans were for the future.
I don't know.

December 27.

I'm starting to worry.
I haven't found any job openings.
I don't want to leave yet.

December 28.

Lately we've been talking about what to do for the new year.
All I want is to be with him to stay here a little longer.

December 29.

We baked cookies together.
Mine were awful, but he tried them anyway.
It was funny.

December 30.

...We had an argument. He isn't talking to me.
I should probably leave. Time's almost up anyway.

December 31.

I was getting ready to leave when he stopped me.
Between the hugging, crying and apologizing we shared, he said he didn't want me to leave yet.
I've never felt this happy.

January 1.
We went to ride a Ferris wheel.
Just as we neared the top, it became midnight, and fireworks went off everywhere.
It was then, under that moonlight, that we both admitted to our feelings.

It was the start of a new year and a new life.

~End~

also I'm sorry if this... "Thing" ends up coming off as pretentious
my brain was too tired to process every single line at the time of writing

:D

Writing is my life and I was so terrified that I'd lost my touch on the way. I didn't know what to do with my life until I wrote this and it felt right. Apparently others agree and that is such a relief.

I switch my signature a lot. If you wanna see some of my past ones, here you go.
Silent Conversations and a Crow's Final Song!
My latest story, and one of my personal favorites. A girl bound in silence finds the words to say to her prospective girlfriend as they visit her religious father in a dusty town on the edge of Kansas, where the crows' migration south brings forth anchored memories, the path to resolution, and a new start.

Form (25quared)
This might be like nothing you've seen before.
